  • Coyote Hills Ranch and Vineyard is a magnificent estate nestled on 160 acres in the rolling hills of Santa Ynez. This home captures the essence Mediterranean influences with its lush vineyards, orchards, abundant sunshine, not to mention it’s olive and oak-studded hills. Known for its warm weather and rich vineyards, seasonal river frontage and spectacular mountain views, Coyote Hills is a glorious wine inspired panorama!



    Situated near the ocean, but nestled and protected by the Santa Ynez Mountain Range, sunrises meld with the morning fog and lingering cool breezes to create signature wines. Delicious temperatures, fragrant scents and harmonious sounds add to the ambiance as you sample varietal grapes for every palate. In fact, at Coyote Hills Ranch and Vineyard, you are surrounded by 14 acres of organic Sauv Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petite Verdot, Petite Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, and Grenache Blanc.



    The residence is newly remodeled, boasting 8200 sq ft of living space, tastefully furnished with soaring wooden beamed ceilings and beautiful floors, walls of glass accentuate the extraordinary natural light and capture the feel of a Tuscan villa. The open concept flows between two independent wings that include 5 bedrooms, 5.5 baths, and can accommodate up to 20 guests. The home is perfect for large groups of friends or intimate family gatherings. The gourmet kitchen functions as the hub for all events and daily living.



    The grand courtyard features a massive pool with spa, outdoor kitchen, fireplace, and custom-built farm table that seats 16 guests. Imagine yourself ending the day with a wine pairing dinner prepared by one of our private chefs with meals prepared from the estate’s bountiful one-acre organic orchard and garden that feeds the home’s pantry…all while warmed by a massive outdoor fireplace.



    Coyote Hills is situated in the warmest climate region within the Santa Ynez Valley and embodies the essence of Tuscany. The dry Mediterranean climate with cool coastal breezes is the perfect pairing for an idyllic wine inspired vacation.

    NOTE: Pool heat is NOT INCLUDED in the rental rate. It is an add-on. If you would like the pool heated during your stay, please arrange that in advance. The pool costs between vary (plus tax) depending on the season and takes 2 days to heat to 86 degrees. Pool heat is NOT included in your rental rate and will be charged separately, plus tax.

Beautiful! This was the most amazing place to spend time with our extended family. We spent most of our time at the outdoor fire pit, enjoying the views (watching the deer) and swimming in the pool. Exactly what we needed. The main bedrooms were incredibly spacious and the bathrooms were too.

Stunning!

The house was amazing - huge rooms/bathrooms - but I think our favorite part which was more surprising was the location. Because it was a little outside town the views looked out over unobstructed/untouched Los Padres forest all around - so stunning! We really enjoyed our stay.

Wine weekend

We absolutely loved our stay at the Coyote Ranch! The property and house are absolutely gorgeous. Our favorite part was the watching the sunset at the ranch and the comfy beds and linens. We will definitely stay here again!

Great Home for a Family Gathering

Coyote Hills a perfect gathering place for our family of 18 coming from all over California. The house is large so we never felt over crowded. The outdoor pool area is fabulous. The kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment needed for us to have fun preparing our meals. I would recommend this home for a group gathering!

Coyote Hills Ranch is top notch. We did not want to leave. The property and setting are gorgeous and serene; the views are incredible; the house is grand, immaculate, recently renovated, and even more spacious than imagined from the photos. The outdoor seating and pool area are dreamy. The host is communicative, responsive, and provided helpful tips for the area. She ensured the house was prepared and that the stay would go as smoothly as possible. We loved our time at Coyote Hills Ranch.

Spring In Santa Ynez

The private location and views from the hill top property were amazingly beautiful especially during our early April stay with green all around us.The home is spacious and focused on the pool area and views. The two large suites are large are well appointed. The third guest room is very comfortable. The bunk room and 4th bedroom are quite small.We would return for sure!

The property is HUGE and is impeccibly clean. Loved the layout, plenty of space for a large family/group to spread out (some places only have one family room or gathering spot, and this has several). We enjoyed the pool and how central it was too all the rooms. Everyone loved the pool table, video game and pinball machines. Only minor issue was the sound with the games. A wonderfully large bunk room (with 6 beds!) was right off of the game room. The problem was that the older kids & parents wanted to stay up and play pool and pinball. No way to turn off sound on pinball and people laughing/drinking get loud. So the kiddos in the bunkroom were kept up and crabby in the morning. If you have older people, probably not a problem, but the kiddos like the bunk beds, so their might be an issue with noise in that room (btw, I solved it the following night with a white noise machine on my phone left in the room). Very minor, and they got over it. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time!!

Beautiful Estate!

Everything we were looking for to get the family time, rest and relaxation we needed. Beautiful home (palace?) and perfectly located. Away from the rest of the world while still being a short drive away from other attractions and destinations, i.e the beach, Santa Barbara, hiking trails. Michelle, the property manager was super communicative and was able to respond to and handle every question and/or concern we had. Looking forward to our next stay here!

We were a group of four families with young children, and the property worked well for our annual weekend get together! The home was clean, maintained well, and met our needs for the weekend. One area that could be improved was the communication around pool heating. Since pool heating was listed as an available add-on, I inquired about adding it to our reservation. While the quoted fee was not insignificant, that was not an issue in itself. My main concern was that I felt discouraged from selecting the option at all. On multiple occasions, I was told that we likely wouldn't need the pool heated, and the conversations left me with the impression that arranging it would be inconvenient. In hindsight, after staying at the property, we regretted not having the pool heated, particularly given that our group included young kids who would have enjoyed using the pool more comfortably.

We rented this beautiful and stunning property to commemorate my late husband’s 1yr death anniversary. This property was perfect in every way with the breathtaking views of the mountains especially during sunset. This home was fully stocked with everything you can think of even with a shaved ice maker with flavored syrups!! Very clean and updated home. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms with the bidet’s… hands down! Family enjoyed swimming with stunning views. Location wasn’t far from grocery stores and restaurants. We enjoyed the nearby casino and of course Solvang and Ostrich Land.Michelle made check in and check out very easy and was always just a phone call away if I had any questions. I would definitely come back to this property. My family is having withdrawals!

Wonderful location for a relaxed long weekend

We were looking for a location for a small group to relax and spend a long weekend. Came across Coyote hills. Precheckin and checkin process was very smooth. Only surprise was heating the pool was an extra cost. Found location easily. Very impressed by the decor and maintenance of the property. Spent a lot of time in the pool with both kids and grown ups had a good time. We had an issue with the thermostat and Michelle tried ti solve it as best as she could. Location and tranquility was the best part of the visit.
