New hotel but a lot of small missing details
Good location and big rooms! But big spot on the carpet, black hairs on white towels, very bad lighting. The neighbor room was noisy (after party at 2am) and it took almost an hour before they were quiet even though we called front desk. Please note that there aren’t a breakfast buffet as us Europeans are used to, but you can order breakfast in the bar but these are not good and expensive. The hotel aren’t that eco-friendly with all that single use plastic and tons of plastic packaging.

Uniquely bad service! Not house keeping during ours stay, something I have never experienced anywhere so far. Incompetent reception staff, who put us in a very noisy room although we explicitly asked for a quiet room. Unfriendly staff at the parking valet. Extremely expensive breakfast. Would not recommend this hotel, not even to people I don’t like.

Close to boardwalk. Mandatory Valet $25 each day. Only 1 vehicle so other one on street with stated permit signs. Unheated Pool, warm enough to swim on an overcast and gloomy day & gym equipment was great.

The room was simple & nice but the bathroom fan didn’t work so it was always muggy, the heated pool was broken without notice for our entire stay, & the laundry was unavailable for our entire stay as well. Of course none of these things were stated when purchasing the room for $300 a night. Tried to talk to the manager but never heard back and from desk said no compensation would be given. Not worth the price and not on the good side of town, windows look at the super 8.

Our stay at this hotel was great! Our first floor room was very spacious and was well-stocked with everything we needed except body lotion. We would have loved another outlet or two (one on each side of each bed would have been great; one bed did not have an outlet on one side) and drawers vs. shelves for storing clothing would have been even better, but overall I have nothing bad to say. The fitness center was extremely clean and there was lots of equipment available, and I especially loved that it was open 24/7.

First thing first, hotel parking is under the hotel and its valet only. $40 a night and no choice of other parking. Only other parking is on the street which is at risk of being hit plus you have to pay for parking which is more than the valet. Welcome to the city and Marriott Courtyard. Hotel was super nice, area was nice and quiet and 2 min down the road from the boardwalk. Hotel itself was clean, classy, and modern. Staff were respectful and extremely helpful. They have a 24/7 snack and drink shop that gets charged to your room so no need to scramble to pay at the time. They have a bistro for breakfast and dinner, it does cost $15-$25 to eat. IS NOT FREE!! Elevators from ground floor and up require room card to ensure only guests and employees have access to rooms. Our room was very clean! Not a stain on the furniture, mattress, or sheets. Bathroom was spotless and modern with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. They have supply makeup remover wipes for your spouse!! Rooms are supplied with smart Samsung tv with full on cable and options to securely login to your streaming apps like Netflix, logs you out everytime TV turns off to ensure the next guest doesn’t have access to your account. Room was excellent all together! Bed and furniture were super comfortable! They have a gym and heated pool, NO HOT TUB! saving the best for last the Valet services were AMAZING! The guys manning it 24/7 were respectful, got our doors for us! They were the cherry on top! Loud blue Kia!

no hotel parking, forced to pay for valet. room service is only in certain days so trash might not get emptied out and bed will not be made daily. construction was happening during our stay so it was quite disturbing. it was a great stay though, beds are super duper comfy and was near al the things planned for the trip.

The check-in process was extremely slow. The staff are very inefficient. They places us in the farthest room from the elevator even after I had requested a convenient one due to having my kids with us. The staff made it seem like she picked the best room, but the view was of the freeway and the Motel 8 next door. Hotel is decent - service is terrible. Probably would not stay again.

The staff was excellent, but the bistro was closed two of the four nights we were there. We were led to believe it was open every night. We had to make other accommodations for dining. The nights it was closed.

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel failed to meet our expectations, despite its premium pricing. The front desk staff was underwhelming, and the hotel's policy of charging extra for even basic amenities, such as in-room water, was disappointing. Moreover, the noise pollution between rooms made it challenging to rest, and a persistent, unpleasant odor was present. Regrettably, we will not be returning to this hotel in the future.

The place was nice and all but it was a bit too pricy when I booked only for 1 night on Easter Sunday. I mean why pay $300 for 1 night and valet parking is extra. Plus no free 2 water bottles in the room. I'm not sure if the whole Santa Cruz area is like this but it's too pricy considering the services they gave.
