"lake view is very good nice hotel to relax and enjoy lake coatepeque the pool is also nice. breakfast was decent. the road is bad to get to the hotel - you have to drive 20 minutes on a rocky-dusty road. I enjoy my stay at the hotel."

"Hotel Maria Isabel in Ataco was such a cute, cozy family-owned stay. The hotel was small, peaceful, and had such a welcoming atmosphere. Our room and bathroom were both very clean, which we really appreciated. There was no AC and unfortunately the fan in our room didn’t work, so we had to keep the windows open at night. But honestly, the hospitality made up for it. The breakfast was SO good, and the man at the front desk — who I think may have been the owner — was the sweetest. He was funny,...

"This is a great alternative for those who are already saturated from El Zonte / Surf city. Really nice staff, great vibes and amazing views and property. Totally recommend for anyone looking to disconnect for a few days. We did not surf but the waves were amazing!"
