Dear Marco, thank you for your review! I'm sorry to hear that you experienced your stay in that way! I can assure you that we treat every guest with the same hospitality and attention. Our hotel does attract more international travellers than Nicaraguans which is also why our menu features mostly international dishes. Our restaurant is very popular, our kitchen team has been trained by a two-star Michelin chef and we are quite proud of the dishes we offer. Due to sustainability and demand reasons we don't offer shrimp or lobster dishes. We have limited parking spaces and make it very clear that we recommend 4x4 to come here. It would have been great if you could have let us know about any complaints that you had before your departure to give us a chance to make it up to you. Thank you for review. Walking at a leisurely pace on average the beach can be reached in just under 5 minutes on the way down, however it can depend on the speed of walking and fitness level. Being on a hill the return can take a little longer and for that we are sorry. To have such an incredible 360 degree view of the area, an uphill walk will always be necessary. We're very sorry to hear about your rings going missing. Our cleaning staff have been working with us for a long time and our guests leave cash and other valuables around all the time and we've never had another complaint before about something going missing. Perhaps there's the possibility that you just misplaced it or left it down at the beach? If this is the case, then a false accusation of theft is very unfair if you do not know for sure and can seriously damage a hotels reputation. We still take this accusation very seriously and will investigate the incident further. The statement about the safety box being locked in your room is false, as after you left we found it wide open. If it was 'locked'; it could have also easily been opened with the safe key or assistance provided upon request. Although not normally necessary at the hotel, it is always recommended to put valuables inside during your stay. In terms of flies, being an open air common area in the middle of the jungle it can be hard to control. We setup many fly traps everyday, however in certain times of the year the flies are more frequent. Being high up and having the breeze coming through we actually have much less flies than any other hotel in the area, however on certain days we can get still get unlucky. The netting and closed area in the rooms also offer the option of a safe space away from the flies. We appreciate the feedback on the fans and will install another for the comfort of future guests.

Hi there, Thank you for your review :) We're sorry to hear about the problems you had with the waste bin and the stained sheets. Usually our cleaning staff are very thorough but it must have been something they missed. We wish you had have mentioned it to us as it's something that we could have resolved for you instantly and made your stay a lot more comfortable. The room you stayed in is indeed near the pool and lounge area but we can assure you that people can't see in during the day. For those uncomfortable with the mirrored windows and would like complete confidence that they can't be seen, there's also the option to draw the curtains We're very sorry about the issues you had with the water. The water system is connected to the power in the area and since Nicaragua is a third world country, the power goes out every once in a while. We do have a backup tank but if the power is out for longer periods of time this also gets drained. The hotel already has a solar battery system as a backup for our power and we're now doubling up our water tank reserves so for when the power in the area goes out in the future we will have plenty left to keep the hotel running smoothly. We hope that on your return you will have a perfect stay with us.
