Everything was good just the check in paperwork and digital communication was not as easy as usual on VRBO. This was very mechanical/transactional:efficient but not easy for me. We would likely stay again as we go the MB regularly and the unit is in a great location,

Great location! The hosts were incredible, very responsive. The house had everything we needed for a two week stay. Walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, walking the boardwalk, and lounging on the beach.

We had a great stay at this property in Mission beach . The location was perfect .. just a short walk to the beach , restaurants, and shops. The house was clean and well kept, and the host was easy to reach. The layout was a bit tricky for our family as the second bedroom was downstairs which is completely separate… like a in-law unit . But, overall the place was fantastic. The large garage was a big plus! We hope to see you again next year . Thank you

Nice place. Great location. However, no place to put clothes in 2nd bedroom. 3 drawers but no hooks or closet. We had to use our beds, TV & door handles. No AC when we arrived. Repair man was there but couldn’t get it going & it was a holiday weekend. Contacted mgr and it seemed they didn’t know it was out. They sent over window AC units but they only cooled the bedrooms. Nothing for the kitchen and living room. Not good for hanging out with family to watch TV, cook meals, play games or socialize. That was disappointing.

Great location, Great stay!!

Amazing location! I’ve stayed in many rentals over the past 20 years in Mission/Pacific Beach and this rental had more amenities than any other place I’ve stayed. They have thought of everything. We felt at home our entire stay. I would highly recommend staying at this rental. Note that the bottom bedroom is separate from the top kitchen, living area and bedroom. Worked out good for us. Also the garage is huge (for Mission beach) and can easily fit 2 standard size cars. We would absolutely return again!

Cute beach house

1 block from the boardwalk and the beach; clean and well equipped home; dog friendly; we did not have any issues during our stay; the property manager checked in to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Would stay again!

Great Location

Overall: fine. The location can not be beat so if that’s what you’re looking for, you’re in luck. Ample beach gear by the host was helpful. Kids beach toys in the outdoor storage bin. Comfortable sleeping, amazing showers. Outdoor shower does not work, but there is a hose to rinse sand off your feet. Lots of ants. No full length mirror in home. Living room furniture is gross and smells like wet dog. Second bedroom (2 twins and 1 bath) is ONLY accessible by entering through the garage or from the outside patio in the back. Not ideal for a family of 4 with 2 children ages 5 and 11. It is in the “things you should know” however we somehow completely overlooked that detail. Overall, would book again based off of location alone. A 30 second walk to the beach/2 min walk to the bay made up for all that was lacking.

Fly infested

Very dissatisfied with our stay, from the moment we got there it smelled like “raid” roach/fly killer!! Within 5 minutes noticed hundreds of flys on the windows and spent like 30 minutes swatting and spraying flys, absolutely disgusting!!!! This fly situation went on for 3 days!!! If that wasn’t enough the dryer didn’t work so we’re traveling home with wet clothes! Great location, unfortunately terrible rental experience.

Clean place, great location

We loved staying at this property. It is by Pacific Beach / Mission Bay, so the vibe is a little different from the typical family-friendly neighborhood. However, since this house is set a little bit inside from the beach, it was always very quiet at night in the house. It has a sliver of a view of the ocean and the beach from the living room, but is otherwise surrounded by tightly packed houses. However, you can walk to either Mission Bay or Pacific Beach in less than a minute. We really appreciated having the garage to park our rental car since parking is hard to find in this neighborhood. The one odd thing about this house is that the 2nd bedroom is an afterthought added to the back of the garage. To go from the main house to the second bedroom, you have to leave the house, go down the outside staircase, enter the garage and then enter the 2nd bedroom through it. This was not a problem for us because we have 2 teens and I think they actually liked that it was setup this way. The neighborhood felt very safe so we didn't have any concerns in that regard. However, if you have much younger children, you may want to reconsider. The house was really clean and the agency which manages this rental were easy to communicate with and all the entry codes etc. were sent in a timely manner - so we had no issues getting into the house. There is a nice large dining table and a decent sized kitchen for anyone who might want to cook a little while vacationing. On this trip, we chose to eat out at every meal and therefore didn't end up using the kitchen at all - so I can't comment on how well stocked it is. There are some really nice breakfast places within walking distance (Intazza - Good food), (Woody's - okay food, great views). Finally, this place is a short drive away from a lot of touristy places - Balboa park, San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Torrey Pines State park, and Beach towns like Del Mar, La Jolla, Cardiff, Encinitas. Nothing was more than 20ish minutes away by car.

Family Time

Perfect location! Walked every morning, watched sunset every evening. Walking distance to restaurants, beach shops & coffee shops. I also appreciated having a garage at this rental. This rental worked for out for us in San Diego.

Perfect location

Perfect beach side location. Clean property, quiet and well stocked. Love the wine fridge. Maybe get some new beach chairs. The existing ones are old, broken straps and worn. We will be back!

Almost perfect.

Screens need replacing. Flies are abundant. Large garage. Wine cooler a plus. A/C keeps you fairly cool. No closet downstairs. No access to lower bedroom from inside the home so not appropriate for young children. Equipped well for our needs.

Great house, Terrible Management.

House was nice and the location was fabulous. 710 Vacation Rentals, the management apparently hired by VRBO, was terrible. There was a scheduled power outage they didn't warn us about. No electricity all day Wed. with loud trucks spewing gas from 7am to 5:30 pm. No wifi, no hot water, no tv or a/c. Couldn't open any windows with gas smell wafting up from the alley. The windows were filthy and the screens were all trashed anyway. 710 Vacation Rentals sent a text telling us that a screen company would need to access the house at 9 a.m. to measure screen replacements. I asked them to please wait until we left as we'd already lost a full day at the house with the power outage and noise. I was told we would not be bothered, but sure enough, we were woken up again Friday morning at 9 am by a knock on the door, asking to come inside. I emailed VRBO about being reimbursed for a portion of our stay, but they sent a reply via 710 Vacation Rentals. We set up this vacation through VRBO. It was switched to 710 Vacation Rentals. Too many people involved with no one taking responsibility. We did not receive the privacy or services such as electricity that we paid for. I am very disappointed and feel a reimbursement should follow. Is anyone listening?

Family Vacation

My family enjoyed a week long vacation at the property, the house was clean and comfortable and came with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We couldn’t ask for more it was conveniently located to both the Beach and Bay area, food and coffee shops, and having the garage, washer/dryer and BBQ made it perfect. I would highly recommend this property and will most likely stay again. JoAnn

Location, location, location!

This property was just as described—right next to boardwalk. (I think we were the 4th house back from boardwalk.) We had a lovely ocean view from the living room! The house itself is nothing overly fancy, but is certainly adequate, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed meals on the lower patio. The location as far as the beach was great—right in between the two busy beaches, so less crowded and the sand was super soft and less seaweedy. Great place for a great price! Highly recommend. Fabulous stay!

Not a great experience

Where do I start... we arrived late at night after a long day of traveling and the bedding was disgusting! Hair and dirt. Clearly it had not been changed for awhile. We had to go out and buy new sheets. I contacted the manager the next day and they said "is there something wrong with washer and dryer?". When I arrive to a rental property I expect to not have to wash bedding. And then they said "thanks we will bring it to our cleaners attention." They didnt try to resolve the issue whatsoever. The house smelled musty. We went to open the window and one of them had no lock and a broken screen. That made us feel super safe of course. The floor was dirty. The furniture was old and stained in the living room. Cigbirns on the coffee table. There was a large colony of ants crawling all over the counters and in each of the rooms on the floor. We even found some in the bed. On day 2 the garage door broke with us stuck inside the garage. We had to physically move the door up and down to get in and out. They sent the maintenance team out but they weren't able to fix the door and sent someone to fix the door the next day but we were already gone. The cable also didn't work in the bedroom. Just a horrible experience overall. We will not be back.

Great Location

You can not beat the location. The check in - check out process was very fast and efficient. The house itself was spacious and well furnished. The large garage was VERY CONVENIENT !The only thing I would have to say is that the carpet is kind of old and stained in the main living area. Some updating inside might also make the place a little more visually appealing. Overall it's a good house.
