I don’t like to leave bad reviews but this is the worst vacation rental experience I have ever had. It would be a 1 star review except that the location is convenient. We had two adults and two kids, which the host knew before we came. Even though the sofa folds into a bed, there was no extra bedding or blankets to make up the sofa. There were four towels and two washcloths in the entire house, with no extras for a multi-day stay, and one of the towels was yellowing and stained. The house was very cold (we are used to the cold—it was cold even for us) and the only heating unit was ineffective. The host mailed us one small space heater the next day after I inquired, but the bedrooms stayed cold. There was no hot water in the front shower despite letting it run for quite some time. The power went out in two of the rooms twice despite that we had only one appliance plugged in at a time. This also made us concerned to leave the house with the space heater left on so the heater’s use was limited. Additionally, we had to hunt around the outside of the house in the dark to find the circuit breaker because the host didn’t know where it was. There was an odd sour smell in one of the bedrooms to the point that my niece shared a bed with me instead of staying in that room. We tried to watch a movie and the sound on the tv was so bad, we could barely hear the dialog at times. I could say even more but the point is, I’m sorry to say I can’t recommend it.
