"This was a super cute house that was perfect for our family's short visit. It was clean, and the pictures of the property were very accurate - definitely a cottage! Location was walkable to shops and the ferry. There was a thoughtful welcome note and amenity, which was a nice touch! There was a lot of construction on the island, so it was noisy... not the owner's fault. Bring a sound machine, because it's a busy island!"

"A gem of a home. The location can’t be beat and I really appreciated that this cottage is clean and bright. It is pretty bare bones as far as extras ( no ice maker or trays to make ice, no wine opener (although I added one), I did not find an iron or extra pillows so I bought a couple and added to the house). "The villa has a lot of atmosphere. It is an old house, which gives it a lot of character, some things may call for a bit of upkeep at first sight, but you forget once you settle down in the wonderful house and garden. The house is in a small, very close community, and even though there are many neighbors, it is extremely quiet and very safe and welcoming. People constantly walking their dogs - which we like, we love dogs. Laguna and Dana Point just around the corner. Great shopping in the area....

"Disappointed on arrival with an unserviced house. Bed unmade, towels on floor, and trash in rental unit all from previous renter. Notified host with no call back. Had to use ring camera on porch. After three calls on ring door bell, we finally had Jordan answer who was cold and short. We were told we could stay for the night free and sleep there. We stated we didn’t want to sleep on someone’s else’s sheets. Jordan cut my wife off and said ok they would refund us. Our main problem was the host...

Nice to have secluded back patio for evening cocktails, cards etc. The front area garden was delightful for morning coffee amidst butterflies. The location was ideal with a short walk to everything. We never got a response. We tried to contact hotels.com with no success. We finally were able to speak to someone at The Evolve Team, which is the company that manages this vacation rental. After numerous calls back and forth they agreed to cancel our booking and begin the process for refunding our money in full. I...
