Important Note About Our Vintage Kitchen - Our home is a beautifully preserved property full of 1950s charm, which includes our wonderful, original vintage four-burner gas stove.

Because this is an authentic period appliance, it operates on a dual pilot light system. If you are accustomed to modern electronic-ignition stoves, please note that older pilot systems naturally emit a localized gas scent as they keep the burners ready to light.

Please note:

We have had the property and appliance fully inspected and certified safe by the gas company—there are no leaks. The scent is simply a normal characteristic of how these classic stoves operate.

Please ensure that the stove dials are turned completely into the "off" position after use. If a dial is left even slightly open, the stove will begin releasing gas to try and ignite the burner, resulting in a much stronger smell.

To easily manage the normal everyday scent, we recommend keeping the Flue Vent fan running. We also ask guests to keep the kitchen window cracked open when the kitchen is not in use, and to open it a bit more whenever you are actively cooking on the stove.

If you or anyone in your party are highly sensitive to smells, or uncomfortable staying in a home with a vintage gas appliance, this may not be the ideal property for your stay. We want all of our guests to feel completely comfortable and at ease!

Pets and/or Service animals are not allowed on the furniture or the beds! If animal hair is found on the furniture or the bed linens, an additional cleaning fee will be requested upon your checkout through the reservation platform.

Waiver of Liability: I (we) hereby voluntarily accept all risk of personal injury, death and property damage (including personal property) to myself (ourselves), our family or anyone on the Premises with our permission, which injury or damage results from our use of the Premises. Furthermore, I (we) agree that I (we) will not make a claim against or sue the Owners, Vacation Rental Industries LLC its owners or employees, family, or related entities, for any bodily injury, death, or property damage. I (we) understand that this is a release of Owner and agents from any and all liability with respect to any claims brought by invitees for any damage or injury.
