"The old fort is a place like no other I've ever been to. The setting is atop a hill with almost 360 views of the ocean from the tower room where we stayed. The breezes were delightful and I even had to ask for a blanket. Other rooms have air conditioning if you want, but we liked the rustic top floor. Quirin and Otmar were perfect hosts, regaling us with stories of life on Bequia, archeology, philosophy, and the vision and hard work that went into turning a ruin into a paradise. The staff was...

"We were picked up by Brendon’s Taxi when we arrived on Bequia and were brought to the Ohana house where we were met by the wonderful Vanice. We were instantly impressed with the home and especially the kindness of Bequia. The house is exactly how it looks in the pictures and how it’s described. The beach is a very close walk. Although, very steep. You will have to be in decent shape to make it back and will need sandals with some grip. With that being said… that should not deter you from staying...

"The location was good. However, the first mug I tried to use had food stains on it. The top of the fridge was stained with dirt so I cleaned part of it. The host listed a/c as being one of the amenities but became verbally abusive if the a/c was used when he did not want it used. He demanded the a/c to be turned off. It was an extremely uncomfortable stay. I would not recommend this location. "
