"A stunning house in a great character full town! The property catered for all our needs, especially with 9 kids ranging from 3 to 16. The hosts were extremely accommodating and very helpful which made the stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. Excideuil is a beautiful town with great shops and there are a number of lovely restaurants in both the town and the surrounding area. The market on Thursday is also superb. "We were with 8 adults and had a lovely stay in the Perigord region with quiet surroundings. Just the sound of a lot of birds keeps you awake during the day. The castle is very well equipped and decorated and not to big, neither to small. It fits the number of guests very good. You can visit several nice little towns(one or two stars Michelin!) but make cycle or walking tours as well. In short: lovely castle and park, everything you need is there."

"The property was gorgeous, clean and the pool was stunning. The kitchen was well equipped. We had a lovely family holiday. Just a couple of points to note. The beds were very very firm, to the point of being uncomfortable. Firm beds are not for us. The listing said hot tub. We hadn’t seen one in the pictures so guessed it was a mis-print, but to confirm there is no hot-tub despite it being listed. The WiFi did not work at all. We called the host who was very good and came straight away but...
