"Traveling with kids so this was a great location super close to the train station. Clean and comfortable with good breakfast. Reception warned that there might be noise at night due to bars and pubs close by but we didn't hear anything."

Breakfast was busy but well controlled. Just a shame (not the Hotel's problem) that there are no late night public transport options from Cardiff. We went to a concert but had to drive back. "

"Lovely property with plenty on site parking. Great location in town. Customer service systems for pre-check in and check in are great, but the little bits of human interaction especially at check out felt impersonal (at best), incongruent with the rest of the experience.

Definitely recommend this if you are visiting Cardiff - it’s 5 minutes away from the castle and 5 minutes to the train that can take you down to the bay. Everyone was so nice and it’s a good value for the money. Slight inconvenience- the parking is in a big city garage a few blocks away so getting your luggage to/from is cumbersome. But...

"The hotel is located in a quiet residential area on a waterfront. It was between Cardiff Bay (15-20 minute walk) and city centre (15 minute walk). The kitchenette was adequate to prepare/cook a simple meal. The breakfast was good with a range of food, including a cooked breakfast. We thought it was excellent value for money."

"My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the Parkgate Hotel. The surrounding area is close to everything and vibrant with student life on the weekends, so coming home to the Parkgate is such a haven after experiencing all that (excellent) chaos. The hotel was perfect: the bar was well-tended and cozy (and beautiful), the lobby was grandiose, the staff was attentive and kind, and the rooms pleasant and clean. We couldn't want for more.

Vi blev mod betaling (30 £) pr. nat opgraderet fra et Deluxe-værelse til en junior-suite. Penge vi godt kunne have sparet - set i bagspejlet. Eneste forskel virker til at have været en større gang hen til badeværelset.
Der var intet køleskab på værelset, hvilket vi normalt ville forvente af et 4-stjernet hotel. Vinduerne er utætte og det trækker...
