Great location. Just back from the beach, pool access, solid breakfast. Nice rain shower…good pillow game in the rooms. Staff was very friendly and responsive.

Really enjoyed this property. The price point was right and it was super close to the beach and many different restaurants. Loved the places in the plaza for lunch. Would definitely stay again

If I could give 20 stars-I would! We had an amazing stay at La Placita. We were greeted in the airport lobby by the hotel shuttle, and transported in a very comfortable van to the property. La Placita is located at the end of a small shopping plaza (hence the name). This was perfect because it gave many close options for restaurants and souvenir shopping. The property is part of Mayan Princess and Las Sirenas. As a result, we had access to their pool and beach chairs. The pool is a 2 minute walk from La Placita and West Bay beach is approximately 3 minutes. The walk is simple and pleasant. The property is also close to Bananarama. Bananarama is a tourist trap with terrible service, but they have wonderful happy hour drink and food specials that you should take advantage of. What makes La Placita truly exceptional is the staff and facility cleanliness. Every person we encountered from house keeping, to the restaurant, to the shuttle drivers, to the front desk was top notch. The front desk staff (Shelby, Rose, and Jessie) always welcomed us with a smile and kind words. They were so kind with our young daughter and made her trip truly special. We had a room with a balcony that overlooked the plaza. We did not find it to be loud at night and slept very well. The balcony was gigantic. The rooms were immaculate. The rain shower in the bathroom was so refreshing after a hot day on the beach. The water was warm with great water pressure. 10/10-loved everything

I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. The staff is great, breakfast was included (7-10am). Lots of culinary options around the little plaza, walking distance from a great beach, etc. I loved it. Will visit again. Highly recommended!

My stay in Roatán was only for three days and unfortunately only 1of 3 was at La Placita. What a wonderful hotel. It is very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. La Placita is really like a village with multiple food and dessert options available (free breakfast is also included). The rooms are spacious and modern. The bathroom is very spacious and chique. I live the fountain shower head that had a strong flow and flowed with plenty of hot water. La Placita isn’t just nice for the price, you’ll feel pampered.

La Placita Inn was clean and the rooms were nice and smaller. The staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is comparable to a clean nice budget hotel in the United States. There is a road (really a narrow alleyway) you have to traverse called (Bananarama Dr), West takes you to the beach and ocean or East takes you to West Bay Rd. Be advised this road is flooded most of the time from some kind of drainage so you have to walk around these very large run-off puddles (like a maze) and time your walks as some of the vehicles go through the puddles at a high rate splashing the run-off. Most of the vehicle drivers are aware and go very slow, but some don't care and hit it hard, it is a crap shoot. This road is also where the trash bins are located and it can be a rather strong smelling walk. There are some small shops and restaurants just West of the hotel just as you exit to the West that are nice, right before you get to Bananarama Rd. The road is why I gave the hotel a 4 out of 5. It actually would not take a great deal to fix this road and it has been this way for years. I go to Roatan regularly. Again no problems with the hotel.

First but definitely not our last visit!
The staff at La Placita are awesome! We interacted mainly with Leona and Kimberly who take care of everything and then some. The layout, location, amenities and value are all definitely five stars! If you are looking for a small boutique hotel that is centrally located to all activities, then this is the place for you. While they don't have a pool you have the use of the next-door properties pool and their beach chairs for no additional charge. Breakfast is included (with a great variety of choices) and there are more than a dozen great restaurants within 100 yards. If you decide to book with La Placita call prior to arrival to schedule a shuttle from the airport. While the shuttle isn't free it is about half the cost of any of the taxis on the island.

My mom and I went for a wedding. We had a beautiful experience. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from the beach. We felt safe and would definitely recommend La Placita. The breakfast was good and the shops around the placita were great as well.

Placita is in an amazing location. This was my third time staying here in the last year. The rooms are new renovated and lovely! TVs and wonderful showers. Jesse is amazing at the front desk!!! Rixie in the restaurant is adorable. The food is DELICIOUS. It’s within 40 seconds to the beach, beach bars and resorts but has plenty within its courtyard to choose from. Love it there!!!

La Placita was excellent. Not as expensive as many hotels in the area. Very clean. Friendly staff. Our room featured a couch and fridge. Made to order breakfast every morning comes included. Shared pool 100 meters away. Beach just a block down the alley. Will stay again.

The hotel was very clean, the shared pool was very nice and convenient to the beach. The shops in front were convenient. It was loud at night but the music stopped at 9pm. Great location.

I enjoyed my 10 day stay at La Placita Inn. The staff was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. I loved the breakfast options included with your stay. The walls are a little thin so if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. You are able to use a neighboring resorts pool and beach chairs- which was nice. They also play music for the plaza and sometimes have live entertainment through out the week. Quiet time starts around 10p. It was very convenient staying steps away from the plaza. There were many food options. They were a little expensive when you do the conversions but I'm always happy to support local businesses. I would definitely recommend this resort.

Besides the smell in the room from the air freshener that they use through the air conditioning system the room was clean, comfortable beds and very nice shower. Benefit of pool at Club Maya was nice. Reception could have given us a little more information.
