"Guesthouse Skálafell has a beautiful location, and the room we stayed in was new and the photos from this guesthouse is not on hotels.com yet. We thought we were going to have a semi-private cottage (from pictures it looks like you’d have one neighbor), but the new cottage is four rooms beside each other – unfortunately, we could hear when the neighbors walked on the porch and the vibrations from the steps on the porch also woke us during the night. "Une nuit passee en hors saison qui a permis d'avoir la salle de bain commune quasi privative. L'accueil est sympa. Les chambres sont très propre. Le petit dejeuner est simple mais bon. Par contre la propriétaire n'a pas ete ravie de laisser la cuisine a disposition pour que l'on se fasse a manger contrairement a ce qui etait indiqué. Elle nous a finalement autorisé a utiliser juste le micro-ondes. "

"Parking was not easy (for us at least) middle of nowhere (quite literally)- so no food options and we missed the restaurant. breakfast was good!!!! we had a bathroom in our room which was AMAZING!!! we were so surprised we were so happy! no heater in this room so very kinda inconvenient to try and wash some clothes if they got dirty from an excursion. but overall very spacious, nice staff, good breakfast. would stay again"

"Great views! The cottages are brand new and efficient. There are some building materials in the area but still, nice place to stay overnight and take a walk around. "

"The hotel was very nice and cozy the room was newly renovated and is was one of the best hotels we have stayed at with a good view. Unfortunately there is no restaurant as in the description of the hotel. The stay was not planned but we had to find a hotel because a snowstorm was inbound so we choose this hotel because there was a restaurant but unfortunately there wasn’t so we didn’t get anything to eat that night as we were unable to drive anywhere."

"Fine værelser i en lille by med smuk udsigt til havet. God service fra personale og rigtig god morgenmad hvor der var stor udvalg af forskellige ting "

"I called reception before we arrived and she suggested us to go to another hotel and just tell me the code of picking up the room key in my hotel… which I think should be avoided. Suggested to text the code by message instead of asking others to go there in person. Otherwise, a great place to stay for a night."
