"The property was perfect! It is such a cozy place for a weekend getaway. The host was amazing and communication was great. My husband’s band Watered Down Whiskey was in town for the weekend to play at a couple local bars. It was the perfect space to recharge and relax after the gigs. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay and enjoy the space longer. We will definitely stay there again when we are back in town."

"Nice property. Beautiful view! Porches are great. Being a basement apartment made it difficult to rest due to host up doing construction or something quite early ior late 4 a.m. however you look at the situation. Hot tub was on the upstairs deck which wasn’t very private even though there were curtains on either end. The house windows were still available to be seen by anyone who chanced to look. There were many nice conveniences such as bath robes, candles, toiletries , coffee, frozen food...

"Bourbon Trail Oasis at Boone Farm was a great spot for our family’s getaway. We enjoyed the peaceful quiet located a short drive from area attractions. We visited distilleries, hiked around Mammoth Cave, and had a day trip into Louisville, but were able to come back to the VRBO and simply relax."

"A more unique retreat in KY situated in the middle of nowhere along/near The Bourbon Trail will not be found. This hobbit/gnome themed outdoor resort is at first stunning and then you begin to realize all the work that must have gone into it and all the thought that went into the details/design. "The Hager Hideaway is in the middle of everything and is a quiet, restorative oasis on its own. The 1830's farmhouse is absolutely charming and very cozy. We could have spent the entire weekend exploring Harrodsburg, but Bardstown is only an hour away via scenic back roads (less if via the Bluegrass Parkway), so we HAD to spend a day there.
