"The resort was beautiful, quiet and clean, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. You will see monkeys and sloths. The staff will point them out to you as well. Most of the community does speak English and do take dollars without difficulty. The restaurants on the resort are pricey, we tried Agua Azul close by and it was delicious and reasonable, Emil’s Cafe was also great but also a little more pricey. Taking a taxi to the local restaurants in Manuel Antonio is about $10 each...

Friendly/helpful service, convenient location (5-minute walk to the beach, 15-minute walk to the National Park) but set apart from the really busy areas, decent restaurant, rooms are fine with a fridge and coffee machine. We were on the top floor and woken up by playful monkeys running around the rooftops in front of our balcony - very fine! "

"Vi havde et forfærdeligt ophold på Sunset del Mar. Det første døgn var der intet personale på hotellet til at lukke os ind på grunden, der var ingen sikkerhedspersonale, ingen til at lave morgenmad til os eller til at hjælpe os i receptionen. Når vi spurgte bartenderen (den eneste på hele hotellet udover spansktalende gartnere!), da fik vi at vide, at der ikke var nogen ledelse på stedet. Det hele var så underligt og ubehageligt. "This hostel is near everything you need. ATM is two steps out the door (costs $2 to use), the swimming pool is really nice, sunloungers to use are in good condition and well placed, short walk to shops and restaurants and there's a restaurant that is attached to the hostel that does great breakfast for a good price. I would recommend paying extra for a room with air-conditioning because around day 3, I couldn't take much more of our stuffy room. "
