"We don't want to leave! This place has changed my standards for quality of daily living. The lanai is such a peaceful place to sit and the indoor/outdoor kitchen combo is a dream for fixing meals, including the fresh catch fish you may acquire! The bed is very comfortable, the local coffee that's stocked is delicious (I have drank way too much coffee this trip) and the place has everything you need for a peaceful, rejuvenating stay. The owners are friendly and quick to respond if you need...

"This place was exactly as described. It was spacious and clean. But….. there were very loud roosters beginning at 3pm and going on late into the night every night. The noise wouldn’t have been so bad but knowing why those roosters were there was more than disturbing. It broke my heart. To be fair, the owners of this property were great hosts and have no control over the neighbors. I’m just giving everyone a heads up in case they care about this sort of thing. I wouldn’t have rented this place...

"This is an amazingly beautiful place. You can see the ocean from the bedroom, and when the weather is clear Maui too. There are so many stars on clear nights, and we saw several rainbows. The whole property is basically a tropical garden, with little paths through the woods and citrus and avocado trees, which guests are welcome to enjoy as much as they want. Words and photos can't describe how beautiful and replenishing this location is.The hosts are lovely and welcoming - truly good people....

"Our trip to the Big Island was a last minute switch from Kauai due to storms. It was our first time on Hawaii Island, and we hadn't done any research in advance. The Mauna Lani turned out to be a perfect basecamp from which to explore the island's volcanos, beaches, oceans, tidepools, and history. It was luxurious without being fussy. "Vi var på bryllupsrejse og havde valgt Hawaii. Vi startede på dette hotel. Vi havde bestilt værelse med havudsigt og ønsket kingsize bed. Da vi kom til hotellet havde de desværre kun værelser med 2 Queensize beds hvor vi knap kunne være i en sammen. Værelset var ikke klar til tiden men det var klar lige om 5 min. "The unit was spotless. Fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful views of the mountains and golf course. Appreciated that there was two bedrooms and two full bathrooms which made it very convenient for sharing with my teenage granddaughter! Balconies upstairs and downstairs was very nice too."
