"While this hotel was a fair trek from the bus station (about 20 minutes) it was just what we wanted. Our view of Fuji was amazing. The staff was also very nice and brought up our bags while we’re were out touristing. The restaurant attached next door was delicious!! And there was another great restaurant a few doors down that offered hoto noodles. The hotel also had an onsen with a cold pool and massage chairs, which was amazing. I would stay here again."

"The hotel is quite worn down and has more of a hotel-vibe than other ryokans we have stayed at. The onsens however are great and have amazing views. The food and service was really great. The rooms were really spacious but - and this is the reason for my negative review - had a really bad smell. Both the tatami mats and the futons smelled foul. We spoke to the manager, who said he just recently changed the tatami mats, so this issue might not persist. The futons smelled old and moist, like...

"The best thing is the spectacular view of Mount Fuji from the room balcony complete with a small fireplace. Staff Service is excellent. Glamping activities provided some complementary some with fees. There is no breakfast included for my stay. But the breakfasts and dinners we had were very good. Can be pricey but safe the hassle of looking for food. To really enjoy the stay I would suggest signing up for some of the activities provided. Property is tucked away on the hill. "We had a short but wonderful stay. Service was excellent all the way through. Breakfast was amazing and the included dinner was also good. We had hoped to see Mt. Fuji but couldn’t due to heavy snowfall, but relaxing in the hot open-air onsen while the snow was falling on your face and listening to the nearby shrine gong sounds was simply one of the best experiences of my trip. Highly recommended"

"Sjovt at prøve en traditionel ryokan, men én overnatning havde været fin. Byggepladsen overfor hotellet ødelagde stemningen af at bo ude i skoven. Personalet var søde og hjælpsomme, men da hotellet er meget lydt, kunne vi høre støvsugere allerede klokken 07:30. Generelt var der støj fra gangene hele natten lang. Tv’et ved spisebordene var også med til at ødelægge illusionen om at bo på en traditionel ryokan. "

"I had a very pleasont stay at Regina. The room was very spacious, and the bed was very good. This was very nice, since I had previously been sleeping in a bad bed at another hotel. I also used the laundry machines. I did not use the onsen, since I have tattoos and understood that Because many japanese guests were visiting the hotel at the time, it was best i did not use the onsen. Though I would have liked to used the onsen, I do understand that there are some cultural history around this."

"Toyoko Inn er en kæde i Japan, som bestemt kan anbefales. Personalet giver rigtig god service og er meget venlige, samt morgenmaden er også ganske udmærket. Personalet snakker godt engelsk. Det kan være lidt svært at nå frem med offentlig transport, men hotellet tilbyder selv shuttle-bus til og fra Kawaguchiko Station, så ingen klager. Super flot beliggenhed ift. Fujisan."

"The pod was amazing, a good size for 2 people with a comfortable bed. We stayed when the temperature dropped into the minus and it was plenty warm enough in there. Each pod gets it's private bathroom and cooking area. We added on the dinner package last minute for one of the nights which they kindly organised. The food quality was great and you got instructions on how to cook each meat if you are unsure. We had breakfast each morning, you get plenty of food but it is the same each time. The...

"We had a very nice time on our stay at this small quiet hotel. We had the Shikibu room and appreciated the spaciousness. It had an outdoor garden view as well as a separate private small outdoor onsen. The onsen looks tiny on first impression but it was nice and we enjoyed the outside seating area too. The beds were comfortable and the linens were nice, and definitely get the breakfast. Amazing breakfast! The staff were friendly and very helpful with transportation back to the train station....

"Fuldstændig fantastisk oplevelse og værelset havde den flotteste udsigt til Mt. Fuji. Vi havde booket end større værelse end nødvendigt for at få den gode udsigt. Hotellet har en skøn onsen men ingen adgang hvis man er tatoveret så det var desværre kun mig der fik oplevet det da min mand er tatoveret. Alt personlig pleje er stillet til rådighed samt den fineste yukata. "
