"This property was one of the best we have stayed at. It was everything we needed, the bedroom and bathroom luxurious. The kitchen area was the perfect size, stocked with a choice of coffees, teas and snacks. It’s perfectly located to go to the many wineries, restaurants and shopping in the area, It is an easy drive into Charlottesville. Our hostess was great, texting to check if we needed anything. I highly recommend a stay here."

"A quiet serene atmosphere tucked closely to the main amenities of the retreat but still surrounded by beautiful scenery! The grounds were sprawling perfection of relaxation and beauty. The treehouse exceeded any and all expectations from comfort, cleanliness and cozy vibes. Never heard another soul as neighbors kept to themselves, however we were often visited by the friendly cats of the community. Coffee in the early morning hours with a book all amongst the backdrop of gorgeous trees & hilly...

"It was perfect hideaway for two couples to unwind and relax with absolutely breathtaking scenery, all the amenities you need, and a beautiful clean home. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck as the sun rose before us, visited fabulous local wineries, cooked in the well-appointed spacious kitchen, sat out and watched the stars pop out in the evening, warmed up around a late-night fire pit, and slept like babies in comfy beds. "We booked for the weekend for our 19th wedding anniversary. The ease of booking, checking in and checking out were very convenient. The room was clean and had a gorgeous view of the mountains. The restaurant was great and highly recommend. The staff was very pleasant. Our only issue was the driveway being barely enough room for two way traffic. But we will definitely be staying again."

"Hosts were very informative and helpful. Place was cozy and awesome. Had almost anything you could think of as far as household necessities. Kids loved it. The fire pit, the screened in porch and the tire swing! Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again if the opportunity arises"

"So I’ve been to this and the bamboo beatle down the road the last four years in a row, it’s a nice peaceful getaway but unfortunately this time wasn’t the best, to start with in the celling fan light had hundreds of ladybugs (I unscrewed it and threw them all outside), the bathroom fan was dusty, and the hot tub smelled like fish after the second night. "Hello! We always enjoy our annual stay at the Old Dam Cabin, but unfortunately this year the heating malfunctioned. The vents blew warm air the first night, but after all the snow and ice it began only blowing cold air even though it was set to 75°. We tried the emergency heat setting, but that did not seem to help either. By the morning of our final day, the thermostat said it was 58° inside. It was manageable, but just wanted y’all to know so it can be addressed for future guests. Thanks!"
