"Desi’s Hideaway was the highlight of our vacation. We had several incidents throughout the weekend, the only light at the end of the tunnel was returning to our home away from home. Then to top it off, our hosts took time out of their day to aid our family members, that were not even guests of theirs. "The motel is old and very basic, but it was clean. The pool had no water. Breakfast was coffee, fruit loops, frosted flakes, OJ, milk, toast and butter. The biggest issue I had was that the shower didn't drain and the shower valve didn't work well. Other rooms may have been better though."

"This place was extremely hard to find in the pitch blackness that is a typical Texas evening, I did 3 u-turns on 55 because I was afraid to use someone’s driveway. That was really our only issue, The house itself was immaculate, we couldn’t have been more pleased with the amenities. Outdoor seating areas on front porch and off the master bedroom were just lovely for drinking coffee in the morning and cocktails in the afternoon. "We loved staying in this VRBO! The house is true to the pictures, very clean, and is pretty large with lots of space for a large family to chill out. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans and a good selection of spices. There is access to the river and it was a very quiet neighborhood. We had absolutely everything we needed and loved our stay."

"We enjoyed our stay at Mona's cabin on the river. Home is well stocked and has 2 nice sitting areas outside. The yard has lots of shade and stayed pretty cool and breezy for the middle of summer. The walk down to the river is beautiful and has a spring creek that feeds into the Nueces which gave a nice spot to cool down."
