"I've stayed at almost every no-frills motel in Eau Claire (I live in the Northwoods and do my stock up shopping in EC), and this one was the best. Perfect...no. It needs some work, but you can see the effort they are putting into it. Live plants inside, landscaping, clean, quiet. I watched one of the staff outside weeding and caring for flowers, and for the indoor plants which had been brought out, and it was clear the pride the motel takes in it's appearance. "I was a solo traveler and upon check-in was moved to a single King room. The room was exceptionally clean, the bed was like floating on a cloud, the staff were so friendly and willing to offer suggestions for dining and entertainment nearby. Sure it was a "cheap" rate and it wasn't a modern chain motel, but I enjoyed the simpleness of parking right outside my door and relaxing in a quiet room. Plus, the bed was soooo comfortable and the pillows would suit anyones preference!"
