"We loved the outdoor fire pits! We don’t have that at home so it is very nice to enjoy a bonfire with the sounds of waves near us. It was very relaxing 10/10! The staff here were very very lovely. The grill was good although we were getting very tired and was waiting for our check for about 15 mins. Otherwise everything was amazing!"

"Very nice area very nice unit that we were in. We did have some poor communication. We ran out of toilet paper on the first day, and there was no more anywhere in our unit. A text was not returned. When I called, she wasn’t the friendliest person in the world, but said she would have some delivered. There was never anything delivered. And I wasn’t gonna call again, so we went out and bought our own. I have wrote since then, with no reply. Besides that, it was a very nice stay! "

"We stayed two nights during the off season (May 2026). There were very few guests staying at the resort. There were not enough towels, etc. for two people and I had to call for more supplies. I asked that they be dropped off inside the door as we would be gone most of the day. They were left on the ground in front of our door on a rainy day (they were in a plastic bag). No room service was done during our stay (beds weren't made, used towels not exchanged). I called the front desk and was told...

"This place is an absolute dump. Aside from the friendly woman staffing the front desk, who I could see was embarrassed to even be working there, I can not think of one good thing to say. The place was filthy, the heat did not work (so I had to move rooms), and the beds were pathetically soft. Apparently it is for sale and they are letting it go to the dogs. "

"I was a bit nervous about staying here after reading some other reviews. But when we got there, the lady at the front desk was super welcoming and friendly. Then we went to our room, number 106. I was really surprised at how clean it was, and it smelled so fresh. The room is a bit old-fashioned, but it was really cozy, and everything worked perfectly. The bed was soft and comfy. "The place was immaculate, and the amenities? So many I'd never be able to use! If you have a pet, they have EVERYTHING you could ever need. I can't wait to stay here again!"

"Staying at this hotel in the winter (off season) was not ideal. Too much snow, parking challenging, and hotel office closed. Room was fine, but no view of the lake. My room key didn’t work on my last day, so staff had to re-issue a new key. For winter, I recommend staying 7 miles north in town..Grand Marie…where there are more guests, better overall parking, access to businesses and customer service."
