"Musty room with very poor ventilation in bathroom. Extremely noisy heating system and a lot of noise from the courtyard especially during the evening; all night it sounded like being in a room with a washing machine on the spin cycle, very difficult to fall asleep. Called the receptionist/concierge, was on hold for 25 minutes, never got through. Not up to standard."

"Hotel La Tour is a lovely hotel and probably one of the best ones in Milton Keynes. The rooms are big with good comfort, and the view is incredible. We stayed for 3 nights and it was nice too see a refill of the coffee/tea stand after a couple of nights. We were slightly unlucky with a couple of things during our stay: 1. The fire alarm went off at like 3.30 AM. It turned out to be a false alarm which was good but evacuation in the middle of the night is never fun. 2. We extended our check-out time with a couple of hours via the front desk but it hadn’t been communicated properly internally, so they called and asked why we hadn’t checked out. Slightly annoying as it’s a service we paid for and would have like the privacy and non-disturbance in those couple of hours. Overall a nice stay and if you go, you have to get a drink at their rooftop bar - incredible drinks and snacks!"
