"This is a new property in Kastraki, which is a 15 min walk or 5 euro taxi ride from the town of Kalambaka. Kastraki is a small, quaint village at the foot of the monasteries in Meteora. There is a lovely family run restaurant just at the end of the road, and a bakery across the street. The rooms themselves are well designed, modern and comfortable. For a fee, ask about late check out. It’s very much worth it given the transportation options out of Kalambaka. I’d definitely come back again!"

"We had an amazing time staying in Kalabaka at the Rock and Stone. It was easy to find, easy to access and beautiful yard to sit and enjoy morning coffee or evening drinks looking into a small gouge. The short walk down into downtown gave us ample cat sightings and more than enough choices of excellent food. The monasteries are a must!!!"

The house indeed had a majestic view, with even an attached sun room/lounge near the entrance where we could sit and watch the sun rise over the rock formations. Nikolaus was also a wonderful and helpful host. He only spoke Greek and we only spoke English - but all was well with Google Translate. We took advantage of the back patio. Bed was firm and very comfy! The location was great because it was away from the noise of the tourists and traffic of Kalabaka. But it was only blocks away. "Beautiful whole house. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Only problem is finding it. Like everywhere in Greece we found no street signs and no house numbers. Make sure you have a photo of this house. "

"Very nice house. Clean, spacious, well equipped. Close to all Meteora monasteries. There several hikes that can be taken right from the house. It’s close to the center of the town, you can easily walk to many restaurants and shops. Great view from the front balcony. We enjoyed our vacation and would love to visit again!"

The owner asked me to turn on only one circuit breaker between kitchen one and bathroom one when we need. We had to keep both circuit breakers turned off while we do not use them upon his request."
