You can walk to the center of town where everything is, along the waterfront in 10 minutes. I took the ferry to Guatemala one day. "This island is AMAZING! Everything from the gorgeous water, snorkeling, kayaking, well appointed cabanas, friendly staff, to the phenomenal food! My husband and I really enjoyed our relaxing vacation. We love that it wasn’t a party atmosphere but a laid back and enjoyable one. We had the island to ourselves most of the time with day trippers only staying for part of the day. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique getaway suitable for lovebirds or families!"

"A lot of care has clearly been taken to make this property as good as it could possibly be. It is genuinely like staying in a property that the owners use themselves (which I believe they do). We loved it. Home from home. Fabulous view. No awful seaweed (including no smell). Everything is fresh and new. Lovely airy high ceilings throughout. Air-con works as it should and ceiling fans as well. Games around pool, kayaks, lots of big comfy outdoor furniture, pool towels, bikes, floatation vests...

"This is a beautiful, clean property very close to the sidewalk in Placencia. The hosts were GREAT, check in was a breeze and the AC was cold!! They have a small but deep pool on top of it all!! I highly recommend Driftwood Gardens and will definitely stay again. "

"I had the most amazing time. The house was absolutely beautiful. The woodwork (repurposed wood) created a very comfortable and chill vibe. The house was fully loaded and spacious. The view was unbelieveable anytime you looked at it. It was very quiet and really nice to escape the day to day things that go on. I was able to just shut off…but still had wi-fi :). Everything was within walking distance, the people were so friendly, people crossing on the side walk or anywhere would great you...

There is a small deck attached to the unit and has great outdoor furniture for lounging and dining. Inside is a kitchen and one of the most upscale bathrooms you will find. "Very clean. Carmen the manager was great and so we're all the staff. Right on the main street and all the restaurants, about 150yd from the beach, 100yds from the beach sidewalk. If you have 2 good legs you don't need transportation to access everything in town. Fairly quiet."

"This was a fantastic condo. It has 4 units and shared laundry. We had the front unit looking at the owners house. Not really sure how they plan on parking for 4 cars as they are rebuilding the property fences. More than likely, golf carts only in the future. Anyway....EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC! And you have resort access for 2 other places as well. This was one of the few places on the boardwalk we could park a car because we were passing though going south. These folks get 6 of 5...
