"We had such a wonderful time at Shepherd’s Lodge. We didn’t have nearly enough time to spend there, as we had a wedding to attend, but what time we had was exceptional! The home is such a welcoming place with a big covered area in front with rocking chairs that always stays so cool, and a huge deck that wraps around the side and the entire back of the house with plenty of seating. "My stay at the Cottages at Laurel Brooke was wonderful. I wasn't in the cottage 10 minutes and I found myself taking pictures of the whole place (down to the Sumatra Coffee pods I love and drink at home) and texting them to my wife to brag on the place. My entire 4 day weekend stay was peaceful and incredibly comfortable. The pillowtop bed was fantastic! I am disabled, have a $5k bed at home, and NEVER get good sleep in a hotel. I travel with my own $300 mattress topper anytime I travel by car....

When we arrived, the pool was closed for maintenance until 9 p.m., but the owner was very accommodating and offered us a late check-out to make up for the inconvenience. The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We truly appreciated the hospitality and would definitely stay here again."
