"Kia ora! We used this whare as a research retreat to do some writing and some deep thinking. The accommodations were lovely, clean, and tidy. An extra nice touch was a load of wood being dropped off at the whare if we needed it, and a 10% discount at the cafe, literally at the end of the driveway, was very convenient and a lovely touch of hospitality. Thank you, Emma, for looking after the crew. Highly recommend"

"Super cozy chalets located ~10 minutes walk from the center of Ohakune. Two separate bedrooms and a large living room provides a great setting for down-time if you need a break from exploring the gorgeous surroundings. The chalet has a functional kitchen, but Ohakune has an excellent selection of restaurants for people who - like us - are too lazy to cook. We can especially recommend the Mountain Rocks café for breakfast. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived, and given great recommendations...

Cottage is very close to the hosts property so bear this in mind if privacy is a concern.Beth was friendly and helpful, we didn’t get to meet her partner.So overall if you’re looking for a great base close to Whanganui and surrounds, can recommend Magnolia Cottage."
