"My family and I had a wonderful time in this historical log cabin! We chose it not only for the history but also its location to the water and it did not disappoint. The pictures are accurate and what you see is what you get. When I had questions I received quick replies. I give this place 10/10. We would recommend:)"

"I stayed here for 2 days as a personal sabbatical to take a break from the noise of life and reset. It was perfect. The sound of the creek at night was so relaxing, and I was able to just be one with nature. I had my two German Shepherds, and they loved running and playing in the creek. It was a perfect retreat. The home was clean and comfortable and had so many amenities. There was nothing that I needed that they didn't have. I will definitely book with Carson Cabins again."

"The house was clean and very nice. Check in was easy and there were clear written instructions for almost everything. I did struggle with how to operate the ceiling fan and light that hangs from the center of the home, but we figured it out eventually. There was the maintenance issue of a large branch hanging down from the tree overhanging the driveway. I ended up taking this down myself as I would not have been able to park if I did not."

"We absolutely loved staying here!! My husband played golf one morning and had a blast doing that. My only tip is to grab water bottles or jugs on your way in if you like filtered drinking water (the fridge doesn’t have any.) Big Canoe is a great centralized location to visit the many cute surroundings towns! We hit up a few each day. We will definitely be back, especially when the kids are older as a get away retreat!"

"The property was clean and welcoming. Kevin and Karen were very friendly and helpful from beginning to end. The pool and hot tub were in good condition and very enjoyable. They even have a delightful bathhouse. We do recommend Forever Young Sanctuary. Will look to stay there again when we return to that area. "

I do wish there were more items in the kitchen: baking sheets, non-stick spray, etc. as we cooked while we were there. However, a quick trip to the Dollar General proved successful. We would definitely return."

"We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was extremely clean when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked. The back porch was perfect for spending time together and playing board games. While drinking coffee on the front porch, we saw deer crossing the road in front of the house. The drive up is winding with hard-packed gravel and it did rain a significant amount while we were here, but we had no trouble getting there in a 2wd vehicle. "

"Check in was SEAMLESS. Access to the home was shared to me in a timely manner. Early check in and late check out options were available and communicated as needed. The home is exactly as advertised. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, plates, bowls and cups! There was plenty of room for my entire family that was in town to celebrate my daughter's graduation. We will be returning!"
