"I’ve been coming to Mendocino for 25 years — sometimes with kids, sometimes with my spouse, and sometimes on my own. This is the nicest place I’ve stayed at. I initially booked it for myself, but then my husband decided to join me. I was worried from the pictures that it might be too cramped for 2 people, but that was not at all the case. Very close to town for entertainment but far enough away that you can get alone time. We would make 2 very strong recos. "Love this place and would stay here again. Everything is renovated beautifully. We loved sipping coffee while watching the hummingbirds outside the window. The Murphy bed was comfortable as well as the main bed. We were incredibly bummed that the fog never lifted during our stay. The water is RIGHT THERE, but we never saw it. Location is great, close to ft Bragg and Mendocino. Of note, we felt weird taking a shower or washing dishes because it is plastered everywhere about how bad the drought...

"There are some inaccuracies in the listing which we pointed out to the host, but it appears after more than a week the listing hasn't been updated. The listing says check in is at 3:00, but didn't received check in instructions until after 5:00. There is an unexpected step down between the main area and the kitchen (which you must go through to get to the bathroom). The building was built on a slab, probably a garage conversion, and sits nearly at ground level. There were numerous earwigs...
