It's very clear that the new owners are working on redeveloping the property and are doing a good job of this.
We had a private courtyard room with a pool, which was what you would expect on a Pacific island.
In general, the staff were lovely and helpful.
We had an issue when our Credit card was charged, as when we booked. It was a payment at check-in.
As it turned out, the resort had charged us the day before we arrived.
We intended to use another card.
We phoned the resort 3 weeks before our arrival to check that our understanding was correct.... It was.
We spent the working days of our trip trying to obtain a refund.
Eventually, this happened, just not the full amount.
We had to push for this to happen, after receiving confirmation from the GM that this would be the case, it transpired that it hadn't.
We pushed again, and they finally credited our hotel account.
I found this to be very disingenuous.
As we checked out, we were completely ignored by the GM, but not by his wife.
