"Walking down the street... (Lady from reception on her way home) Mr. Jens Mr. Jens, where are you going? (Me) I am just going for a walk to see the island (Her) Hop in, I will drive you. And then she drove me to the end of the world, while telling me all about the island. Well, it is a small island, so the end of the world was not that far away, but it was very kind of her, to give me a lift. And this is just one example of that true Polynesien island spirit, I experienced throughout my stay...

"5/5 Stars – Absolutely perfect stay! Couldn't ask for a better spot on the island. We stayed here from June 11–17, 2026, and it was an unforgettable experience. The property itself is absolutely beautiful and immaculate. Every single room—from the bedrooms to the well-stocked kitchen—was exceptionally clean, and having air conditioning in every room made our stay incredibly comfortable. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. Jonathan and Katrina were extraordinary hosts....

"Location is very secluded and relaxed. No shops on the island but they offer half or full meal plan. Kayak or paddle board is free to use which is very good so you can explore the nearby motus. Water for showeing is salty but we didn’t mind, drinking water was provided anytime during our stay. Highly recommend if you want to switch off and relax. We did not experience mosquitoes which was an extra positive comparing to other islands."

"Absolutely loved our time here! Le Tikehau was our favorite stay in French Polynesia. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly and the property is beautiful. We highly recommend Le Tikehau, two thumbs way up."
