"Skøn beliggenhed med fantastisk udsigt. Det var let at komme dertil via en fin grusvej, men føltes helt isoleret. Vores hytte var ren og velorganiseret og alt var så fint. Vi boede der kun en nat, men vi kunne sagtens have blevet der flere nætter og brugt stedet som base"

"Overnattede en nat i en beskidt hytte. I spaet var der efterladenskaber fra tidligere brugere. Risten i bruseren var stoppet. Det var i hvert fald ikke gjort rent i en længere periode. Poolområdet var slidt og ikke mindst beskidt. Omklædningsfaciliteterne var beskidte, og der var megen skimmelsvamp. Der er restaurant på stedet. Maden er simpelthen ikke stedet værdigt. Frosne pizzaer der serveres efter en times ventetid selvom vi kun var to hold i restauranten. Der er ikke styr på køkkenet...

"Property felt new and modern. Furnished tastefully and well designed. It felt like a high end experience and the facilities were excellently maintained, or potentially brand new. It was honestly hard to tell since it was overall just a really nice stay. My wife's theory is that they are called the Puffin Houses because they are painted to look like abstract puffins with the orange beak and black body."

"The fotos doesn't match reality. Many fotos show a completely different room with a TV and leather sofas and a big modern bathroom. That is not what you get The cottage is very small. We could barely fit our luggage and 4 people. The shower is old and worn. The pictures of the small room also does not match reality. It looks quite nice and modern in the fotos, but most af the interior is old and worn. The bed was extremely soft and the sheets and linnen were old, stiff and worn. Neither the bed...

"Askot Cottages are beyond phenomenal! Our best stay in Iceland. The cottage design is thoughtful and purposeful. Every little detail adds to the comfort and experience for the guest. The instructions are presented in a beautifully designed booklet that was clear and complete. All the amenities were stocked and high quality. I wish every place I stayed could be this perfect! "Very cozy cottage. Family of 5 fit well. Great kirtchen with everything you need. Beds were comfortable. No noise during the night. Great location for doing the golden circle trip. "

"We enjoyed this property for our 2 night stay. The rental unit looks brand new and is furnished very well. It was probably the largest and nicest rental units we stayed in for our entire two week trip. It was nice to have the space! The only downside to this property is that it was out in the country, away from everything. So grab what you need before retiring for the evening. We were slightly disappointed that our cabin rental was in the middle of the other rentals, so we really didn’t have a...

"House is beautiful and location is great. Views are amazing. House had everything we needed for 6 adults. Had an issue with the shower draining but the owners were easy to communicate with and responded to our concern immediately. Grateful to have opportunity to stay at such a lovely house and visit such a beautiful country."

"Excellent location for access to the Golden Circle and the south shore of Iceland. Beautiful full kitchen. 15min drive to Selfoss for excellent dinning. This cottage was an excellent find. "

"Det lå skønt , men der var forlagt til indkøb og evt spisesteder. Den først dag var der tallerkner og bestik man kunne låne. 2 dagen var alt låst væk, så lidt svært at spise vores indkøbt mad som vi skulle varme i mikro ovnen. Nå man bor i bjergene lidt tilbage fra alting forventer man udsigt, vores var et lille trekantet vindue med udsigt til et tag og intet andet. Vi skulle kravle rundt i værelset pga skrå tag. Men vi havde eget bad og toilet og det var dejligt. Morgen maden var ok, meget til den søde tand nærmest intet til den sunde. Desværre. Men fantastisk mange oplevelser i nærheden. Og vi fik set Nordlys lige uden for døren og det var alt vær "
