"Loved the stay and the view of the northern lights"

"This is a lovely cottage in a quiet neighborhood and tiny village. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed the house. The kitchen is well appointed, although we only used it for light breakfasts. We had fabulous weather, so we were able to enjoy the outside deck and sea air. There isn’t much to do in the village (but do visit the cute wool boutique with nice items a short walk from the house!). There’s a highly rated restaurant in the village, but we didn’t try it. However, Selfoss is less than...

"Vi var en familie på ti personer. Grund passede perfekt til os. Jeg - den ældste - valgte at bo i gæstehuset. Det udendørs spabad og den udendørs bruser blev benyttet hver dag, selv om vejret var koldt og regnfuldt. Grund ligger i et vidunderligt, roligt naturområde med en dejlig udsigt til sø og bjerge. Jeg kan varmt anbefale dette dejlige hus, som var en god base for vores spændende ferie i Island. Vi kunne under hele opholdet via telefon komme i kontakt med Thorstein, der var meget hjælpsom....

"This wonderful home has it all. It is centrally located to all the wonderful attractions in the South Coast. Very spacious, but warm and inviting. The gourmet kitchen was well equipped. The hot tub was very relaxing after a day of hiking. We were able to see a wonderful Northern Lights display with the wide open land around us. Would recommend and would stay here again on another trip to Iceland."

"An adorable quiet and private cabin with everything needed to live and cook comfortably. Ideally a washer/dryer on site would be preferred (although washing in the sink and drying on the radiator works fine). It’s ideally located for day trips around the golden circle including 2 different thermal soaking pools within 30 minute drives. You can even see the geyser erupt from the deck. The door lock sticks but we eventually figured it out."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this logde, with fantastic view over the lake and a very comfortable house in every way. The kitchen was more than fully equiped to suite every need to make dinner - and we loved the wide ragne of wine glasses and coffee making possibilities. To make the stay even better there is not much to add, we had good communication with Björn all the way trough. We were all 6 very happy with the stay and will return to this house again if we visit Iceland again."

"Wir waren für 4 Tage in dieser Unterkunft. 4Erwachsene und 1Kleinkind (13Monate). Es hat alles super geklappt.Bei Fragen gab es schnell die Antwort. Die Unterkunft an sich, ist an machen stellen etwas verlebt, aber das tut dem Wohlfühlfaktor keinen Abbruch. So war es zumindest bei uns. Da die Unterkunft schon etwas klein ist,war es mit 4 Erwachsenen und 1 Kind für die 4 Tage ok.. Direkt in der Nähe kann man Höhlen besichtigen...1min Fußweg. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden."

"The barn house was a peaceful base camp for exploring the south coast. We enjoyed the hot tub. The beds and bedding were comfortable. The most well stocked property I have ever stayed at with cooking supplies, laundry, and bathrobes. The large window skylights, lighting, and infloor heating created a cozy place for our family to enjoy. Highly recommend!"

"We stayed at Klara’s Villa for the second half of our Iceland trip. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy the Golden Circle, Reykjanes peninsula and the south coast. "We celebrated our wedding in Iceland and chose this amazing house to stay with our friends and family. There was plenty of space for all of us and we really enjoyed the fully enclosed atrium as well as the hot tub. It was also nice that the kitchen was separate from the area with all the bedrooms because we didn't need to worry about walking people up. "What a wonderful house. The house sits beside a lake with panoramic views of mountains and water. Centrally located to many attractions on the Golden Circle. Very comfortable beds and the house is well appointed with a large kitchen/living space and deck. So relaxing to go back to after a day of seeing sites. "We have been guests at the Afternoon Cottages twice. We stayed in #4 the first time and #5 the second time. They are mirror images of each other. Everything was clean and the location is perfect for seeing the Aurora as long as the sky is clear. Communication with the property manager was easy and effortless and on our first stay we even extended it by a day. I highly recommend the Afternoon Cottages."
