"Property is as described. It's dated but well cared for. The caretaker is great. PLEASE note. Last few kilometers of road are not paved...we had 4x4's was fine. Closest supermarket is a 40 minute - hour drive. Beach isn't the best for swimming but totally remote and private. We loved this place. "

"The property was as described and was a nice mix of some modern renovations along with a vintage feel. We loved how it was tucked away under the large trees, and the children absolutely loved the daily monkey visits. The 10 of us mostly spent our time together in the living room area, which has a great open floor plan with high vaulted ceilings. Lush rain forest jungle view off the decks. It was easy getting into town, and the host, Daniela, was extremely helpful with recommendations of activities, restaurants, grocery places, etc. We would definitely stay here again. "

"To stay here a car is the best way to go—it’s located on a lovely property a bit outside of Santa Elena proper—not walkable to the Cloud Forest and other things we wanted to do, although only a short drive to coffee tours and a nighttime wildlife tour. The house is beautiful in a very contemporary Latin American style. Nice pool, but it was a bit rainy when we were there and sun breaks did not correspond well with when we wanted a dip—but we can’t blame the hostess for that "
