Hanalei Bay Resort 2302 is an air-conditioned, two-level studio with a prime location for taking in the beauty of Kauai's North Shore.

Use the private entrance to step inside and access the lanai, which offers lovely views of the surrounding garden property and swimming pool. You'll have a minifridge, a coffee maker, a queen bed in the loft bedroom, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area.

Hanalei Bay Resort is one of the premier properties on Kauai. Nestled on 22 acres along the beautiful coastline of the North Shore, the resort abounds with tropical foliage and amazing views of the green mountains, waterfalls, tropical sunsets over Bali Hai, and the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. In this spot overlooking Hanalei Bay, you'll be steps from a white-sand beach located below the resort.

Originally built as a tennis resort, the property still features some of the finest tennis facilities on the island. Enjoy access to eight tennis courts, a tennis pro shop, bell and shuttle service, beach gear rentals, a lagoon-style saltwater pool designed for family fun, and a quieter, smaller pool for those looking for something a little more relaxing. Hanalei Bay Resort also boasts close proximity to many North Shore attractions, shops, and two of Kauai’s best golf courses.

Internet provided by Hanalei Bay Resort does not support streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, etc.
This property is managed by Vacasa Vacation Rentals of Hawaii, LLC.
Hanalei Bay Resort swim-up pool bar is indefinitely closed.
This is a privately owned unit in a resort. Since it is privately owned and rented, hotel-style housekeeping is not offered. There is no daily housekeeping.

This rental is located on floor 3.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

The room was perfect for what we were looking for. Obviously not the cheapest, however in our opinion, it was definitely budget friendly when considering some of the surrounding resorts. Outside of that, the view from the balcony was BEAUTIFUL. The service and hospitality from check in to check out, was incredible. I even made the mistake of leaving my passport and car keys in the hotel after check out, and the front desk was sure to help me retrieve them. Beautiful pool/jacuzzi, tennis and gym available. Not to mention the courtesy golf cart ride to the beach or wherever you needed to go on the resort grounds. Amazing stay overall!

Overall good place for the money for simple living in Hanalei, especially if you plan to be out all day. The resort property is the highlight, while the unit is dated and basic. Pros: Amazing views of Hanalei Bay and amazing resort property. A great lanai and it has AC. Unit comes with a bunch of snorkeling items, umbrella, and beach chairs. Very quiet at night. Resort pool is awesome and has great place to watch the sunset. Cons: No dishwasher, microwave, kitchen sink, or washing machine, so plan to eat out your entire stay except for snacks. Loft takes a long time to cool down even with the AC going all day which is hard when going to sleep. Weak water pressure in the shower.

Fair, at best

The unit is dated and disappointing. There is no kitchenette, only a tiny dorm-size coffee maker (4cup), and misc cups, no microwave, and an odd collection of kitchen items, even though there is no kitchen. The shower has mold. The baseboards are rotting. The bed is a spring mattress and horribly uncomfortable. The bed is located in the loft, and the only bathroom is on the main floor. When the wind blows, a small attic access door rattles, so we had to move a nightstand in front of it to keep it closed. It is a 3rd floor unit. The property is beautiful and that is why you would choose to stay here. You will pay an additional 50/ night for parking and “resort fees”.. there is no washer and dryer - you can use the community washer on the ground floor for 2 per wash and 2 per dry. Overall, I would not choose to stay here again.

Loved It Here!

We came for my 6 year old son's birthday with my Dad and it definitely didnt disappoint! The room is in a perfect location. The parking lot is in front of the room and the laundry, ice and drink machine below room ($2 wash/dry each). Perfect view of pool and Happy Talk restaurant. Room had tennis rackets, balls, fishing pole, towels, blender, toaster, coffee maker, small fridge, dishes, and silverware. You can shuttle to the beach where there is a bar. The swim up bar is opening in two weeks. Lastly, this room is markedly less expensive than other rooms by $200+. The other rooms are bigger and have a kitchen. You can use the microwave in the hospitality room near the pool. Would recommend! If we come back, we'll stay here again!

False Advertising on this listing put a damper on our vacation

Since we have stayed, the listing has been changed (thankfully) When we booked our vacation, one of the most important things that we need on a trip is a Kitchenette - somewhere to prepare food, as well as clean/prep meals. The original listing said that there was a kitchenette, which I took at face value, and booked the stay. Unfortunately when we arrived, we found that there was no place to cook any food (no hotplate, no microwave, nothing) and no sink. Now, the listing has been changed to more accurately reflect that there is ONLY a minifridge and a coffee maker. When we arrived, it was not nearly as clean as I was expecting. The vacuuming had not been done, and there overall there were some maintenance issues. Not what I expected, unfortunately. The Sofa Bed is a very old style, and very, very uncomfortable. This is a very small room, dont expect anything more. The grounds were beautiful, as always. This overlooks the large swimming pool, and also the mountains in the background.

Dirty, Outdated & Uncomfortable Beds

LOVED the resort, would NOT stay in this unit again! Slept downstairs on sofa bed first night because it was too hot upstairs. Sofa bed is unbearably uncomfortable. Slept upstairs on very hard bed the rest of the time. Mold all in grout in bath, Disgusting black hairy sludge sucked back into bath water when plug was pulled because tub stopper doesn’t work. Dead bugs everywhere. No towel service but no hooks to hang towels to dry. No dishwasher, not sure why it is listed with one. Only sink to rinse dishes is bathroom sink. Trim needs caulking and painting. Could be a very nice little unit with a little thought and a few updates.

beautiful location

The condo was nice but limited in a toaster and very small coffee maker which was good enough in general for the two of us, but would be nice if they had a microwave. It is a far walk but they do have shuttle- although they won't take surf boards on it so drove into Hanalei each morning. The restaurant is fun with a band 4 days a week. They had chairs in the condo for the beach which was great. The condo is privately owned so a light burnt out and hard to get a hold of someone to replace it b/c the property won't deal with those things. We would stay here again.
