Located in the Banana Building at Hanalei Bay Resort, this corner condo treats you to incredible views of Bali Hai, Hanalei Bay, and some of the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see - right from the comfort of your private lanai.

This corner condo is a hotel-room-style studio with lofty ceilings, air-conditioning, a king bed, a full bathroom, and a private lanai. You'll also enjoy all the amenities that Hanalei Bay Resort has to offer. What more could you want?

Hanalei Bay Resort is one of the premier properties on Kauai. Nestled on 22 acres along the beautiful coastline of the North Shore, the resort abounds with tropical foliage and amazing views of the green mountains, waterfalls, tropical sunsets over Bali Hai, and the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. In this spot overlooking Hanalei Bay, you'll be steps from a white-sand beach located below the resort.

Originally built as a tennis resort, the property still features some of the finest tennis facilities on the island. Enjoy access to eight tennis courts, a tennis pro shop, bell and shuttle service, beach gear rentals, a lagoon-style saltwater pool designed for family fun, and a quieter, smaller pool for those looking for something a little more relaxing. Hanalei Bay Resort also boasts close proximity to many North Shore attractions, shops, and two of Kauai’s best golf courses.

THINGS TO KNOW
Condos contain lockouts, meaning there are shared doors. Sounds may be audible between connecting doors.
This property is managed by Vacasa Vacation Rentals of Hawaii, LLC.
Hanalei Bay Resort swim-up pool bar is indefinitely closed.
This is a privately owned unit in a resort. Since it is privately owned and rented, hotel-style housekeeping is not offered. There is no daily housekeeping.

Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 1 vehicle.
This rental is located on floor 3.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

The parking lot is a very far walk from the condo. This listing failed to mention that it has a shared door with a neighboring condo and the walls are very thin - not to mention there is no key or bolt that shows that the connecting door is even locked or safe. When I reached out, there was a third party communicator who could not help. The space is very small.

Amazing view from a fine room.

The view is even more stunning than the photos and the beach is small but beautiful with snorkeling right there, including a turtle! The pools are also nice, including a sand bottom hot tub! Be aware that this studio room has an adjoining door to the next unit which is 0% soundproof. We chose this unit thinking that it being furthest from the main entrance would give privacy but instead woke up multiple nights to a screaming child. There is also no way to cook at all and the microwave is up at the main building in a hospitality room. Be aware as well that the property is very hilly. Sometimes the staff can help transport you in golf carts but this unit is down a significant hill, and the beach is even further down. The property is managed by a separate team of staff with a welcome packets of dozens of pages of rules. Overall enjoyed the north shore and grateful for our time at HBR but could be better.

Disgusting, Filthy, and Gross

We have stayed at HBR several times, but this time may be the last. We arrived at the room and we were horrified. There were roaches in the bathroom, mold in the bathroom, black earwig bugs IN THE BED! There was hair in the bed, stains on the sheets and pillow cases. There was so much dust all over the fan and vents that we couldn’t even turn the fan on without dust flying everywhere. We had stuffy noses and sore throats everyday since we were here and feel very sick. Overall, DO NOT RENT THIS ROOM.

Wonderful View!

Overall positive experience. Million dollar view and great location. Nice resort with outstanding amenities and terrific staff. Special tip of the cap to the concierge Cy! However, cleanliness of the condo left quite a bit to be desired. Additionally, 4 towels and 2 wash cloths were hardly appropriate for 2 people for a week. Both the resort staff and management team were most helpful to quickly rectify any issues. Bed was very comfortable, however could use a better seating arrangement.

Unbeatable view!

We loved staying here! The view of the ocean/Hanalei Bay and Bali Hai are unmatched and never get old. The room was an ample size for my husband and I. The resort itself has beautiful grounds and a lovely main pool with a smaller pool closer to this room. When we were there (late Aug 2021), both the pool bar and the Happy Talk lounge were open Thursday-Sunday, which was perfect. This location is a great home base to see the rest of Kauai, though a car is a necessity if you want to get around. Thanks so much for what was our best vacation ever! We’ll be back!
