"This is a challenging review to write because the staff were very friendly and the property is beautiful, however we waited over 2 hours past when our room should have been ready, had scalding hot water only on the first night and then only luke warm throughout our stay and woke up to no electricity on our last day. It is a very expensive resort ( called 5 star) so these things should not happen. Plus we've heard nothing from them after reporting this."

"During our stay in Room 1606, we experienced a serious issue that significantly affected the quality of our stay. Of the two bedrooms in the suite, the bedroom closest to the entrance had an air vent located directly above the bed. The constant noise from the vent was loud throughout the day. Even more concerning, however, was that at night we could hear conversations from the neighboring room through the vent with remarkable clarity. "The location is great/ staff was good & on site facilities/food was great. The main con was the plumbing. There was very little hot water & the plumbing was so weak the shower wouldn’t drain & the toilets took multiple flushes- which makes for a gross bathroom. Otherwise the bed was comfortable & the room was decently clean (it’s on the beach so I expected sand in various places throughout the hotel)."
"I would stay here again and again. I love the ambiance and charm of the historic home which still shines through along side the luxurious updates in the beautiful bathroom, soft rugs, comfy bed. They have thought of everything and provided a beautiful space to enjoy it in. Games, toiletries, coffee, water, an honor wine bar upstairs. I cannot wait to go back.
