If you’re accustomed to a no-shoes household, this may not be the best fit. Upon arrival, we removed our shoes as we normally would when entering a home, but within minutes noticed our socks becoming sticky and visibly dirty, suggesting the floors had not been properly cleaned.There were also several discrepancies between the listing and the actual experience. The illuminated “Z” in “Arizona,” shown in the photos, was not functioning during our stay, and the patio lighting was significantly dimmer than expected. Additionally, the outdoor TV is difficult to use during the day due to glare, so it may not be as usable as advertised.Another drawback is that the interior of the home is quite dark. The windows appear to be heavily tinted, which may help with energy efficiency, but it noticeably reduces natural light throughout the space.We were also later accused of taking a shower head and damaging a chair—both of which we categorically deny. These claims were unexpected and concerning. If you choose to stay here, it may be wise to consider purchasing damage insurance as a precaution.That said, the property itself was quiet and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the sound of birds in the morning, and we were able to comfortably spend time there with our two toddlers and 6-week-old newborn. It was a bold choice traveling with such a young baby, but overall, it felt worth it.
