"Fran is a wonderful host and crammed so many helpful little touches into the Old Stables, from a full set of guides and pamphlets to local activities to a comprehensive welcome package of essentials such as milk, water and cereals. It's nice to find a place to stay that even has sauces and salt and pepper - much overlooked by other property owners. "The location is amazing, its so quiet. Walking from the car park to the room (which is less then a minute walk) all you could hear were the birds tweeting which was very relaxing. The room itself was nice and cosy, very clean and stocked with a kettle for tea and coffee which were supplied and a fan in the wardrobe, towels and toiletries. The shower is amazing and very spacious. I had a bit of a problem with the bed, if you like a very very soft bed then you'll get a great nights sleep, for...

"I was staying in the area for 3 days with work. I was considering a chain hotel but saw this on Hotels.com. It was reasonably priced and close to where I was working. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. It was a lovely little self contained cottage whee I could finish work and shut myself away from the world. There was a microwave and kettle although no oven or hob but there is a decent pub a few yards down the road for food. A lovely quiet oasis in a busy, frantic world"

"Fantastic lodge, clean, warm and quiet. Quick replies to questions. You don't need to message about parking or a code to get in. Wait for a email an hour after booking. If booking at short notice your name won't be on the room list so you have to phone them. Only downside. Fridge and microwave with cutlery downstairs. "
