"The hotel was in pretty good condition, very nice and clean. The only thing I would note is the shower water pressure is quite light, and it does take a good few minutes to become hot. "Staff was terrific. Travelers got separated and staff here helped both parties. The one who hiked got caring aid - food, information about other travelers options, offers to help with communication. The one who did not hike got excellent information on how to meet up in another town on the following day. Staff kept in touch after. Food was abundant and delicious."

"I've noticed that many hotels do not include a microwave, kettle, or refrigerator in the rooms. I opted for a hostel because of the access to a kitchen and other travelers to conversate with. The location is also very walkable from the city square and immerses you with the locals. "Very friendly and service minded staff. I needed to bath my foot every day and they willingly found a bucket and brought boiling water to the room every night. The hotel is generally a bit cold. However, it did have hot water in the shower, which has not been a given at the hotels we have stayed at in Peru. The kitchen chef was also very nice and prepared freshly cut fruit for us upon her own suggestion. It is a 7-10 minute Uber ride away from the historical center, which cost 8 soles when we visited. "
