"We like to travel a lot and this was the best house so far. The house is amazing. Check-in was quick and easy. We were able to drop off our luggage before check in time which was very helpful. Bedrooms are very spacious. We were able to pick a lot of different fruits in the yard. "

"We loved our time at this property. The house cools down quickly once you open all the windows. Check in was super easy and our two questions were answered quickly via text. The home felt like a destination unto itself. Watching the sunrise and turtles in the AM and relaxing in the pool at night were perfect ways to bookend our Hilo-side adventures."

We were actually there during a tsunami warning and they called and talked us through it and also called the sweet neighbor to come over and give us information as well. "The Thomas Guard house is a very special place! The setting is spectacular, with waterfall and jungle views from multiple lanais. There was plenty of space for our group of seven to spread out (including three kids and two grandmas) - everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, which was ideal for our family. The house is beautifully and lovingly restored and well-maintained. There is no air conditioning, but each bedroom has a ceiling fan and a floor fan, so we all slept in relative...
