Very good
Central located, and easy to drop car outside the hotel and then the fantastic Mr. Franklin managed the car. Whenever needed again he brought it in front of the hotel in 2min :-) Brilliant service all over! Thanks!

Great hotel
Great hotel I Casco Viejo. The staff was very helpful and the room was as good as we hoped. The view of the city from the pool was the perfect introduction to Panama City

Will with correct management be a good hotel
Hotel not yet ready for guests... my room was not clean and when i first time asked them to clean it again nothing happened.. Gym is a joke likewise the pool which was dirty

Lovely hotel in a perfect location to experience all of Casco Viejo. Staff was so helpful. Loved the live music in the evenings. Hotel is clean and comfortable.

This is a lovely old hotel beautifully updated for modern travelers. Excellent service & amenities, great location in Casco Viejo.

We loved our stay here at this beautiful property. The on site dining was pretty expensive, but ok if you are just staying one night. It's easier to walk and find more affordable food than eating at the hotel.

Our room was #201 a Junior Suite. Was a great room overlooking the square but.....There was no WIFI, the Jacuzzi Tub did not work and the Roof Top Bar across went Crazy until 5:00am on Saturday - did not sleep. Sunday night it closed at 12:00pm. Would stay again but never on the side facing the square. The pool is fantastic with a beautiful view.

Convenient to Casco Viejo. The valet parking was awesome. Efficient staff. Rooms are clean. Smallish. Will go again to this hotel.

I cant say enough great things about the staff here. So nice, so attentive and SO understanding. Even when my 4 year old dropped his ice cream in their entry way. The hotel is beautiful in its own right but the amazing staff made it magical.

Très bon petit-déjeuner. Au coeur de la ville coloniale qui est très intéressante . Entourée d’excellents restaurants. La vue du dernier étage est très belle. La chambre est si petite qu’il n’y ni bureau ni même une seule chaise. La piscine sur le toît est minuscule . Et la destination Panama est vraiment formidable .

This property was beautiful. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is amazing. We had a great view of the church. There’s so much to walk around and see. The downside is it can be very loud because of the location. The church bells go off and you can hear that. I think due to the age of the building you can hear the rooms next door. They were unable to accommodate a late check out (which is understandable) but a little annoying if you have a later flight. The late check out fee if they could accommodate was more then half of what I paid for a night. I thought that was a bit much. Overall a very nice property.

The restaurant had an interesting menu but they could not get meals to the table at the same time so diners could eat together.

The building is gorgeous. The area is a great historic area, lots of great shops and restaurants. The staff was very hit or miss, either friendly and great or uninterested in being helpful or nice. Initially, I was on the first floor facing the interior and it was rather loud. The very wonderful front desk guy was fantastic and quickly moved me to a room on the 3rd floor which was a million times better. That guy deserves a huge raise for being friendly, kind and efficient. The pool was lovely.

Excellent location with great bars, restaurants, and sights very close by. Beautiful building, clean rooms and friendly staff. We loved the violinst in the lobby in the mornings and evenings.

Conheci este hotel quando visitei a Cidade do Panamá a primeira vez há alguns anos, em passeio pelo centro antigo. Havia me hospedado num outro hotel 5 estrelas fora de Casco Viejo e me encantei pela localização e arquitetura do Central Hotel, prometendo que se voltasse a visitar a cidade iria me hospedar ali. Este ano voltei e fiz reserva no hotel. Porém foi decepcionante a experiência. O hotel continua sendo lindo, icônico, porém o staff de recepção e concierge foi o pior que já pude experimentar na vida inteira para um hotel desse nível. Pessoas extremamente grosseiras, arrogantes, sem qualquer boa vontade de atender bem os clientes. Parece que estão fazendo um grande favor em nos atender. As recepcionistas do check-in são de uma prepotência absurda, em momento algum fazem questão de serem o cartão de boas-vindas do local. O concierge que não tem a menor boa vontade de passar uma boa experiência aos hóspedes ao perguntarmos sugestões de locais para comer, visitar etc. Mal anota num pedaço de papel rasgado um ou dois nomes de restaurantes e sequer nos dar as coordenadas ou sugere outras atrações. Nunca vi isso na vida. Os demais funcionários foram muito agradáveis, mas essa equipe da recepção foi decepcionante. E percebi isso com todas as pessoas que chegavam. Como tive essa impressão horrível desde o primeiro dia, passei a observar se não seria algo comigo somente (às vezes temos esses impasses com certas pessoas e nossa alma não bate), mas notei que era com todo mundo.

We arrived late to the hotel and only stayed overnight, so we cannot rate too many aspects. It was a beautiful property, and the room was nice except for a surprisingly small bathroom with a shower stall.

Great Spot in Panama City
Convenient location in the historic cent and tourist area of Panama City. Lovely historic hotel that is well maintained and upgraded. Right next to the Canal Museum and close to a number of great restaurants.

There was hair on the walls of the shower. :( The phone in the room kept beeping. I unplugged it and it kept beeping. I had to take it out of the room so I could sleep. I was not able to call the front desk. So I was too tired from my travels and left it outside in the hallway. Other than the service was excellent. I told the front desks about both of these issues. I wish I was given some kind of discount.

We loved staying at Central Hotel. It is right in the centre of the lovely Old Town area and you can walk anywhere! Walking distance to great restaurants and bars. The room was nice, comfy bed and good air conditioning. Beautiful roooftop pool and rooftop restaurant/bar. The staff were friendly.

Horrible Customer Service.....
Hotel is a total rei-off. We needed to leave a day early due to a situation that could not be handled in Panama City. They would not refund our last night even though we weren't going to be there. Even talked to the Manager and he acknowledged that the Policy is wrong but wouldn't do anything about it. I asked him if his policy is to screw over his clients to have one extra night revenue and he said Yes and walked away. Then we didn't get maid service on our last day even after I asked the maid.....I'm sure it was because I told the manager how unhappy I was! The pool is very small and dirty, plus only a hand full of chairs.

Hotel is loud. There was a party going on inside hotel until 4 am. Room was very humid and a/c never seemed adequate. Tried lowering the thermostat but temperature in the room remained the same.
