"We were a little surprised how well this hotel was rated. It wasn't bad, just not as exceptional as the ratings reflect. There were only 2 pillows in the room, and when I ask for more the staff informed me there were none. At a hotel? No pillows? The room was clean enough, but not spotless. "朝食付き，とあったので安さで決めました。が、いざ行ってみたら"朝食あり"で申込まないと駄目との事。でも安価で申し込むと自動的に食事無しになる(客は知らない)仕組みになっています。 出掛けた先からホテルに帰るバスの案内が無く、ホテル従業員さえ知らず"タクシーに乗っても2千円以内だ"と案内するので 乗ったら3千円以上になり 次の日はバス乗り場が分からず2時間30分迷いました。 交通機関は表示するか 従業員がきちんとバス乗り場やバス時間等を把握しておいて欲しいです。 それは基本的なサービスではないでしょうか？"

"The rooms are spacious by Japanese standards. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is excellent. The TV is equipped with Netflix and other streaming services and easy to use. The location is superb for exploring Gion and Higashiyama, and not far from a metro station to get to the rest of town. The free shuttle service to and from Kyoto Station is a nice bonus. "The hotel it's small but super clean and well done. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom huge. The only thing is that is on a quiet neighborhood so it's like 20 minute walk to the canal and Nishiki market but still centric enough. Also, the futon sounds like a good idea until the second night and your hips are dying...just saying. It's not as easy as you think if you are 35 or older..."
