"Room was clean and breakfast as a part of room charges was very nice. Location of the hotel is excellent. But the hotel is pretty old form the looks of it. Flooring and carpeting is worn out. Bathroom is very cramped and has low ceiling. Oceanfacing living room is nice and boardwalk and beach entry is right next to hotel. Overall a mixed bag. Room Rates are high due to peak tourist time."

"I can’t say enough good things about this place! It’s our spot. We’ve stayed here before, but this time the kids and I decided to make it our permanent Virginia Beach place. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and the staff is wonderful as well. It’s a really short walk to the beach from the parking lot. "We experienced cigarette smoke in our hotel room constantly during our stay staff was unhelpful. We brought the cigarette smoke to the staff attention on multiple occasions. Staff did not rectify the problem or compensate us. Staff did not enforce the non-smoking policy and we had to suffer. Otherwise this would have been an ok place to stay."

"Pros, walking distance to a lot of good restaurants and shops, indoor pool, outdoor pool, outdoor shower for getting sand off, good breakfast buffet, honestly decent price per night. Cons, the elevators got stuck 2 out of 3 days of our stay, needs one or two more outdoor showers by the indoor pool access door for getting sand off before entering the hotel. All in all would highly recommend as our stay was great."
