"The property was tastefully furnished which reflected its historical past. There was a spacious sitting room for use by guests and a kitchen equipped for the heating and simple cooking of meals. The tasty breakfasts were cooked to order with locally sourced ingredients. There was a small but pleasant garden with suitable seating areas.
The staff were always welcoming, helpful and friendly.
It was an easy 12 minute walk into the cathedral area and town.

"A lovely hotel right in the heart of the town. Very good customer service. Be warned that there are steps throughout the building which made it tricky for our aged parents however we managed to change their room to one without steps to the bathroom with no fuss. Bar service was excellent, we didn't get to down there but the food looked great. "

"From the gorgeous hotel exterior as you walk up to it, to the incredible interior, wonderful staff and beautiful room...where to start!
The hotel itself was incredible wherever you went, with fantastically friendly and attentive staff everywhere you looked!
The Eaterie restaurant, the bar, lounge and even The Vaults for a brilliant Sunday Lunch were terrific as well.
To top it all off, the room was absolutely perfect as well!
It is a very easy decision where to stay when we come back to...

"The Westgate was easy to find and there was parking around the back of the pub as the town seems to have limited parking.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was lovely.

We took a chance on an early check in and the team were calm and relaxed and were very helpful, we booked breakfast which was superb value and utterly delicious- great veggie breakfast and good coffee and extras available. We stayed in a lodge room, which was perfectly adequate- comfy bed and free WiFi.
A few areas to improve from a decorative point of view but a good value and relaxing stay.

"This was the 4th time staying at the George and for the last 2 times ive a room with a very small tv.
So s.all on this stay that watching the football i had difficulty seeing who was who and were the ball was.
Otherwise the staff are friendly the meal i had very good.
Next time unless i have a room with the bigger tv screen i wont be able to book.

"A lovely little building in Mildenhall. Certainly an historic building, and comes with the quirks of its age, but the team has done a brilliant job of adapting and making it up to date. Missing shampoo, and no hair dryer, but the bed was great and the shower fantastic. Kettle and tea bits were all I really needed :-). "

"Booked obviously through Expedia. They provided the wrong address, and location. To top it off they never informed Sian who owned the B&B that we had booked, she was out for the evening and we had to wait for her to return to get in. Sian was very apologetic although it wasn’t her fault, the stay was great, if we are ever back in the area we will stay with her again. Never using Expedia again. "

Værelset var rent og pænt.
Morgenmaden var meget enkel. Man kunne få “
English Breakfast” med alt hvad dertil hører, æg, pølser, bacon, hashbrowns osv., og så var der cerial i små pakker.
Mælken stod i stuetemperatur og der var kun en slags mælk - ingen yogurt eller lignende. Ingen ost, bortset fra Philadelphia. Ingen frugt.
Betjeningen i restauranten snakkede højlydt med hinanden mellem bordene, bl.a. om andre af personalet - lidt grænseoverskridende/uprofessionelt. "
