"This was a weekend get away for me and my adult sons. I had spent a lot of time in WV (mostly caving) when I was in my 20's like them and love the area. We had a wonderful time and the Bear Valley Cabin was our home away from home. The house had everything we needed including a grill for our foil packs and steaks, a fire pit to sit around at night as well as the chairs with oil lamp to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds in the morning and evening. "Had a guys weekend away. The home was a perfect home base. The resort had everything we needed for a great weekend (golf course, bar, restaurant, perfect fall weather). Terra Alta is also a wonderful little mountain town with great coffee and beer. May need to look into purchasing a home in Alpine Lake."

"Stay was excellent and property was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Wildlife was abundant on the property. We caught well over 100 fish in just a couple days. We will definitely be back when the river is hopefully a little lower. Excited to return. House and porch were in great shape and the furnishings were excellent."

"This was the third year that we stayed at the cabin.We have consistently been happy.The only disappointment was, the first several days of the week were very warm, I would have liked to been able to turn on the fan on the first floor living space to lower the temperature in the upper bedrooms ( the remote to control the fan is missing)Besides this, which was Not really a big issue, everything else was close to perfect.Thanks for any enjoyable stay!"

"The family had a great time. The cabin was beautiful and clean with plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The mornings were greeted with the sound of the Three Fork Creek flowing as you sipped your coffee. Very relaxing. We explored West Virginia and ended our day at Laurel Lodge with a fully equipped kitchen for dinner, campfire and s’mores bye the creek. So far the best family trip ever."

"GPS does not take you to the cabin. Use a real map or ask locally for directions. Cabin is just as it looks in the pictures. Had a nice dinner cooked on the provided charcoal grill. Plenty of towels and extra blankets were provided. Had a minor issue but help was on the way immediately. Will definitely be back again soon. "
