"We stayed for a USAFA event. It is a bit far from USAFA compared to some other locations, but never took more than 30 mins to make the drive (it was a weekend so rush hour not a factor). The owner made personal contact (not a faceless big company property), and showed interest in our comfort/enjoyment. What more can you ask of a host? "

"We almost exclusively stay at VRBO rentals over hotels. We have a checkbox for when we need to make those calls, and what qualifies as a place to stay. People rent houses, we make them feel like home. For that, a lot needs to happen. Our host was flawless in their communication. The house was properly maintained, clean and felt MUCH more like a home than a cold “space” we rented. There was not an abundance of communication, nor did we feel ignored.
