"The staff is super friendly. The little store in the lobby conveniently sells drinks including beer and wine. We grabbed a couple of drinks and sat out by the fire pit. Good breakfast. Comfy bed. Very nice, newly rooms. "

"There’s a Dunkin across the street and QT down the street. Plenty of food options nearby. Bed was comfy however my only complaint would be that the pillows were to small. You could smell the clean everywhere you went!! "

"This is an absolutely fantastic place. The experience starts in the nice lobby with a friendly and smiling greeting. I am glad we found this gem of an inn. Spacious and clean rooms and a great pool area. There is a couple of nice smaller restaurants across the street, and you can enjoy an evening stroll along the river. We should have stayed longer."

"We have stayed at the inn before several years back, and decided to stay again. We love the historic look of the Balsam mountain Inn, we learned that it changed ownership a few years back and the new owners are looking to preserve the classic look that appeals to everyone so much. They want to keep it as original as possible which is great, the down side of that is they removed the window units from the rooms. This may sound bad to some but for me it was a welcomed trip back to my childhood of...
