"The pictures are quite accurate and the place is even more beautiful in person! Absolutely loved staying here. Nice quite area. I stayed with my husband and 3 kids ages 7, 2, and 11mo. The kids had no issue adjusting. There were quite a few stairs to get up to the deck and inside but my toddler took it like a champ. The walk to the beach was about a 5minute walk for us, but again it was at toddler speed 😅. We preferred the ocean view beach as it was not as rocky and was just a short drive away....

"Just like thay stated. A dual family under renovation. If you want shiny granite and huge bathrooms you won't be happy. Larger than expected. Highly recommend this place if coming to visit family at Norfork Naval Base. Close to the base, beautiful beach. Kitchen is workable. Wish they had a few more drinking glasses and a can opener but stores were very close by and we were able to pick some up."

"This place was placed perfectly. Just across the street from a very nice peaceful beach access, as well as a large park for children and dogs. There was an exceptional farmers market on Saturday that had an immense variety of local product and food trucks. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. My family and I stayed (Grandma 72 years old, aunts and cousins from 6years old to 37, and my mother 52 years old.) I would stay here again."

"We left the property an hour after arrival due to the tremendous smoking smell in the property, the dirty and stained couches (one smells of urine), and busted window screens which kept us from being able to open windows and air out the duplex. For minimal investment in screens and going to a thrift store for clean sofas, this property could be fine, smoking smell aside. The other side of the duplex, I suspect is lived in semi permanently as when I contacted the owner about the smoking smell,...

"The unit was very clean and was accurate as described on the site. It was just a short walk to the sandy beach of the Chesapeake Bay. Our biggest complaint was the air conditioning. There was only one small window A/C unit in the bedroom. It was not enough to keep the unit comfortable. We had to place fans in the hall area to pull cool air into living area which is where another bed was located. It stayed uncomfortably warm in the unit (76-80 degree). It was hot outside, but only around low 90’s...

"It was hard to find the outside trash cans. We were asked to start a load of towels when we left out but there was no detergent. We never could find the light switch to turn the front porch lights on. Overall the stay it self was nice. Prior to showing up we did have an issue. We are a military family and we were traveling for Thanksgiving to see our 2 kids that are in the Navy. One is in CT and the other there in Norfolk. We originally booked this place for Saturday to Saturday and then our son...

"We had a great stay at this property for 3 nights. It is a perfect fit for two adults and a dog and was right around the corner from the ocean. The bed and bathtub were absolutely wonderful! I appreciated the communication from owners and had an easy, peaceful weekend. Thanks!"

"The ceiling was low, bathroom sink was clogged. Bathroom floor needs work. Property was clean and beds were comfortable. Loved being at the beach. They have a different Property i stayed at on an earlier date that was great. Although we didnt care for the mentioned things, the process was easy and the owners were good to deal with."

"Home was clean and well stocked with coffees and teas, which we appreciated. But there were several maintenance issues we didn’t get a response to. Clothes dryer didn’t work. Bathroom sink was partially clogged so didn’t drain well. And the lock stopped working with my app. Googled a way to reset it and ended up working again, but didn’t get help from owner when I reached out. "

"The advertisement says this is not a fully renovated property. It is not. The house is spacious and has a wonderful pier and view out the back. There is a lot of construction going on at the interstate which is immediately in front of the property. This did not disturb us, just a little crazy getting to through the detours, but should be temporary. As for some info I would think could improve the property with little cost... - the property sleeps like 9 people, you should have dishes and...

"The beach was very private and nice. As others stated the outside was a little run down but it didn’t affect our stay. It was very clean. The beds in the upstairs bedrooms were very comfortable. The property manager was very helpful with providing a canopy for the beach. We had neighbors but really didn’t hear them. If you are looking for a 4 bedroom that is pet friendly and a private beach then I would recommend. If you are looking for a mansion then this is not the place for you. It was fine...

"Wonderful owners with phenomenal communication. They were very patient and super responsive to messages. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Property had everything we needed and more and was steps from the ocean. The beach itself was private and not crowded at all. This was our 2nd time staying and will definitely not be our last."
