"The Ponte Vedra Inn and club prides itself on service-upscale amenities- right now the resort is going through refurbishment so the risk -no family pool or adult pool or any appropriate beach access point they also have very limited dining right now the golf club room is it-so despite the setbacks due to the reconstruction, they still always maintain a high level of service just be cautious. There aren’t the traditional swimming pools or beach, access areas or oceanfront dining that the hotel...
"This is a hotel that is now really run down. The room smelled stale. The windows are permanently sealed. The shower did not work properly. The plugs are in weird places. The gym is run down and shabby. The elevators are under repair. The service in the bar was slow. The whole place just feels tired and musty.
I am lazy and generally do not write reviews but this place needs a wake up call."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay. Our king room on the first floor was very comfortable, spotless, had a large bathroom, and even a little back deck. The historic property was beautifully restored and clearly very well cared for by innkeeper Veronica and her team. Veronica's gourmet breakfasts were a huge treat, different every morning, and served with attention to every detail in the elegant dining room. Veronica was happy to share suggestions on activities and restaurants in the area....
"The property was undergoing renovations that had taken longer than was anticipated. We were not aware that we were staying in a construction zone. There were unexcusable waits for the elevators (closing one completely for 'retiling' that took the entire weekend) while also blocking access to the stairs, the lack of gym facilities and the dangerous aspects of having construction hazards in hallways should have been considered. At the VERY LEAST, there should have been some reduction in rates...
