They answered questions we had and were very helpful in assisting us in how to get around the area and getting a shuttle to the ferry docs. It was a very clean and convenient property. "I’ve stayed at many properties at Mackinaw City. Each year I travel to the UP and Mackinaw City is a mid-point in my trip. The Hamilton will be my go-to from now on. The rooms are spacious. The beach was fun for my grandkids as was the pool. "

"Overall a really cool spot. The hotel is immaculately clean. Beds were comfortable. The grounds are beautiful. There is a lot to do outside of just golfing.
My only complaint is that our hallway smelled of cigarette smoke. Every room has a balcony or patio. You could tell people were on the balconies smoking. Our room didn't smell or anything like that so a very minor issue. "

"We had a great time at Sugar Beach Resort! It's very clean, you constantly see staff picking up garbage, straightening chairs, and cleaning up around the beach. The boxed breakfasts aren't anything exciting but it was convenient and punctual.
We enjoyed beautiful sunset views, a comfortable room, and friendly service. We would certainly return!"

"We stayed here in the middle of July. This place was remarkably affordable for what you get. The beach access is incredible. We had a balcony room overlooking the pristine beach and lake. The place was a bit aged but not shabby. The indoor waterpark was a nice bonus, but the waterslides were permanently closed. It was a close drive to the ferry and downtown. The ferry company offered free pickup from the hotel, so we didn't have to pay for parking."

"Read lots of mixed reviews before booking. We stayed as a family of 5, for 4 nights. We had a great time. Pool was average, food nearby, lakeside, beach had sand but was rocky in the water - kids didn’t care. We had no issues w our stay. "
